Any S/D discounts below $149 in December?

I've been checking around every site I can think of for December and the Dolphin came up on Expedia with a discount for $149 (with the Swan slightly higher). Has anyone heard of a better deal? I was hoping that they would offer a $99 special again like last year. I *think* I heard something about November and a special code somewhere on the boards, but is there one for December?

This is from the allearsnet.com site. Note that it's just for 12/8-12/15. It's the lowest that I've seen S/D in a while, and by the looks of the 2005 discounts things won't be getting any better. This came out a few weeks ago, at least, so I hope there's still something available.

"WDW Swan and Dolphin MouseFest Special Rates!
You can stay at the WDW Swan and Dolphin Resort for just $99 per
night during the land portion of MouseFest (does not include taxes
or resort fee). This is an incredible offer! If you've been
waiting to get a room for MouseFest, don't pass up this deal.

These deluxe resorts are within walking distance of Epcot and the
Disney-MGM Studios. They are also home to the Mega Mouse Meet on
December 11th!

This rate is valid from 12/8-12/15. You must use code MFEST when
calling for your reservations!

To make reservations for the Swan or Dolphin call: 888-828-8850"

Thanks, Sherri. I was looking for 12/19-12/26. I'll keep my fingers crossed for something to come up. I already have a place to stay, but it would sure be nicer to be at the Swan or Dolphin instead of the in-laws, LOL!

Wow, I was trying to figure some place to stay in mid Dec for a couple nights. Swan or Dolphin would be great. I don't quite understand the MFEST code, though. Do we have to be going to Mousefest? Those are the people that it's obviously geared towards.

We're going 12/8 - 12/13, I could only get the $99 rate for the last 3 nights...I had to pay $209 for the 1st 2 nights, no discount available. Since we're arriving at 10:00 pm on the 8th I used priceline for the Sheraton Safari ($40) for the 8th, I'm paying the $209 on the 9th and the $99 for the final 3 nights. I'm going to continue to call to see if I can get the $209 lower, maybe an education discount.

disneyagain, How long ago did you get your discount rates?

My plans are still somewhat up in the air so I haven't decided what to do, but don't want to wait too long to decide.

I booked on 10/09. I was surprised I could get that rate only 2 months out.

I booked 2 rooms (12/27-1/1) at the dolphin last year on the teacher rate in September.

Either they have many rooms at the discounted rates, or i've just been lucky

You don't have to be going to the Mousefest, just give the MFEST code when you call. The offer began a few weeks ago, so they may be full on some nights. If you are flexible on which nights you want to stay, you can probably get the discount for at least 2 or 3. The S/D has a great cancellation policy. You can cancel either 5 or 7 days in advance and get your deposit back with no penalty. I'd call just to see what you can get.
