Jeanne may have slowed things up a bit (at least, that's the story at TTS closing yesterday). Hopefully, Disney is back on track, made the approval yesterday, and soon the wait will be over.

We also went throught TTS, hopefully you will hear something soon. I have seen a lot pass lately. A couple weeks ago I wouldn't have said the same, but the last couple of weeks, almost everything seems to be passing.

I am hoping today is the day....Don, hoping you hear really soon so you can book those Jan. ressies!!! When I called today we booked AKL and VWL, both were available. We were going to waitlist BWV, but changed our minds last minute.

No, TTS doesn't have mine posted anymore under "sale pending". My contract details are 210 pts at 74pp, June use year, 210 2003 pts banked, 210 2004 pts available, I pay 2004 maint fee and closing costs.
We are planning a trip for 4/23/05, hopefully a DVC trip!

Well not a word on my contract yet, of course i didn't have the luxury of TTS or Jaki, My contract 150 at BCV not that easy to find is with Vacationsonly (aka GMAC International Realty) They have been fine so far but this waiting is getting annoying and they don't seem to have the same, I dont know, understanding, that Disney ROFR is not standardly waived like most timeshare resales. Anyway, No word again today and the frustration (and waistline) continues to build.

Hey kim, you should come over My DW and I are binging on Eclairs Napoleons canoli, and Cream puffs. Whats your poison?

Sounds like quite a buffett. I go for anything chocolate related.

Royersford is just west of Valley Forge or 40 min west of Phillie.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand. I'm wondering if they are not meeting again this week (after all those calls went out Mon). I hope I'm wrong.

I completely agree about Vacations Only!! I was looking at a contract on their website, but the guy that I was dealing with was an idiot, who talked down to me.

We seemed to debate EVERYTHING!!!

I asked him why they didn't list UY's and banked points on their website (or even keep them on file...he had to call the owners of every contract I was interested in and ask them), and at the same time he was telling me that owners of DVC do not typically know their UY's or status of their banked and borrowed points!! Does that make ANY sense...owners didn't know...but, when I asked about them, his response was, "Well, let me call and ask."

He also tried to tell me that a contract with banked points wasn't worth anymore than a stripped contract, and that I was silly to be so concerned about it!! He told me that I might OWN a DVC, but that he had been selling them for over 20 YEARS...um, right!!!

They also had a VWL listed at $90 per point!!! Whatever!! He was SOOO hateful to me when I told him I was going to go with one of Jaki's contracts!!

I don't think they know DVC very well at all!! I agree, Don...that MIGHT be a cause of your troubles. Here's hoping your guy was a LOT better than the one I was dealing with (he was British, I think his name was Keith).

I REALLY hope you and Kim hear soon...I am SOOO sorry it is taking so long!!

We just found out that our closing will be finalized today . Is my next step simply trying to contact MS sometime in the next week to see if I'm "in the system" . I really hate to bug them since they are dealing with all the issues relating to the hurricanes and possible Vero Beach questions. But I really need to make my ressies for late April since it is Spring Break time and it could be difficult to get what we want! Any advice from the experts here? Beca...Ruth...Kathleen???

I had posted earlier I made my first ressies yesterday (9-29) We closed on 9-22, however, I tried to call on 9-27, but MS was only taking phone calls affected by the hurricane until Wed. morning.

It would be hard to say when I was actually "in the system" because I couldn't check any earlier than Wed. If I were you I would call Monday morning to check. I don't think you would be a bother, it would take them 5 seconds to say yes or no. As sweet as you seem in your posts, I bet you are just as sweet on the phone and wouldn't be a bother at all

Yea, Amybeth!!!

I would start calling tomorrow right after lunch. It is probably a slim chance...but, if the legal dept. can process you today, you might end up in accounting tomorrow morning.

When you call, and they ask for your member number right away, just say something like, "Well, I was hoping you could help me with that." Then, tell them what is going on. I even had a couple of them check availability (I said..."If the dates that I am trying to book are already booked...then there is really no need for me to be so impatient"). They were SOOO nice. I actually got one CM who talked both to legal and accounting for me...and I was in the system within a couple of hours...and accounting even called me to tell me when I could make a ressie!! They were SOOO sweet!!

I won't be doing all of that this time, as I am in no hurry to make ressies, but I NEVER got anyone who seemed in the slightest bit upset...they really were amazing!!

It is certainly worth a shot.

Maybe Disney waits until they have a certain number of contracts for specific resorts before they review. It's just another puzzle in ROFR maddness.

Who knows what method lends to their madness.

I am really starting to suscribe to that dart board theory, though.

It looks like they did not meet (or met on Monday) this week.

Well, I guess they have to let me know in the next week and a half, right???

I just can't figure out why they are holding onto it.
