Any ROFR news?

We are just a bit ahead of you, we closed in less than a week after we sent in our docs. Call the closing company, they already have a closing date set for you.

As far as after closing, I am going to call this mornign to check if we are in the system to make resseies, I will let you know as soon as I do!!!

Lots of Pixie Dust to anyone still waiting. I've lost track. We were approved 9/14. The papers say settlement on or before 10/8. This waiting game is making me crazy. Still waiting for docs. I am so anxious to make ressies. I am hoping to go use our 03 points in Dec. What are the chances we will be able to get in to OKW in mid Dec? We'll stay wherever there is room but am anxious to see OKW. Been to WDW several times and stayed on property but have never toured the DVC.

We got our closing documents on Friday (the closing company called around 7pm to say they had e-mailed them over). They were very quick...we just passed ROFR last Wednesday.
We are sending everything back today. The only hold-up may be the finance company. The closing company says they aren't the quickest to deal with, but I will try to get them to move quickly!

Good luck to all who are still waiting. Maybe we will all be in by the end of this week!!!

PS Disney must attract all us fellow thespians...I acted for years as a kid and seriously considered it as a career. However, I followed the more practical side and went into marketing/public relations. Since I decided to stay home when our oldest son was born, I am now a home-based travel agent specializing in you know what. This allows us to still have enough $ for Disney and season tickets to a couple Philadelphia theaters!!! It is amazing how much we all have in common!!!

Wow I feel so left out...

Not much acting here!!! My major in college was performing arts, but not for my acting ability, it was my voice. Singing was my thing, however since I had been performing since the young age of 10, I was really burnt out by college.

Maybe one day I will get back into it, but for now I really love my career and wouldn't change a thing about it!!! I admire those who have acting ability, it is a lovely art.

I called MS today and they are not taking phone calls from anyone but people trying to travel in the next 7 days. (due to the Hurricane) so I will have to wait until Wed. to check on if I am in the system.

I've been quietly lurking, reading the thread and not posting because I was waiting on a contract that I was certain would get picked up by Disney ... well, I was wrong. My realtor called at about 4:10 today (yes, Monday) and she said she just got word from Disney that it passed ROFR. Here's the interesting part - it's 420 points at OKW for $69/point! 84 points are left for this year and all 420 will be available in April. I paid maintenance fees on the 84 and closing costs. Considering what the other contracts have been going for I never expected it to pass. It's a great way to start the week!

I bet you've been absolutely BURSTING to share the news---it's so funny how the people here become the first you want to tell, probably because they totally understand how happy you are!

Congratulations! VWL is the first and only WDW DVC resort I've ever seen in person, and is the whole reason we even decided to buy. It beautiful. Enjoy!!!

It looks like it's been a good day for a few of us, congratulations! I've been quietly watching and cheering for those that already passed - it feels good to finally join the group. I just wish we could figure out some pattern for the decisions that the ROFR committee makes!

$69 at OKW, I guess its all in the timing

OK for those commenting on the Wicked and taking kids Over 6 id say no problem under 6 just be aware that the show is 3 hours long. It definately is active with lots of singing and color and movement. But it is 3 hours. We had my son listening to the music and singing the songs for 4 months before we took him just to make sure. But if your kids love music, get the CD and try it out. The show is fabulous and the parents will die laughing. Best Line Glinda: "Are you still flying around on that old thing" Elphaba " well we can't all travel by bubble"

OK we have been looking at this how many ROFR members would be interested in an 05 F&W and MNSSHP reunion. to late october 05. Add names for those interested
