Any ROFR news?

Dis-happy,

Yes, it was me who started this thread, but it's everybody who has made it so sucessful and fun. Not to mention all the friend we've made along the way. I hope it doesn't end, but continue for others. Once Beca, Kim, DMCii and you pass ROFR we'll turn the thread in "where's my closing papers" and "I made my first ressie today" thread.

I'm expecting good news from all today. It seems the timeframe has shorten.

Call, dmcii, call, the rest of you! Ya' never know. HOPEFULLY, they've already called YOU!

Can't wait to hang with you on the next board for closing and reservations. Why does it seem like we are the FIRST people to ever go through this????

TCS just called and we passed!!! That was only an 11 day wait...piece of cake...lol.
So that's 230 OKW, all of 2003 pts. banked, all of '04 pts. coming in Oct. $75/pt.

Congratulations to everyone who has heard and pixie dust to the rest! BTW...Jason just told me on Wed. that he didn't think we'd hear till NEXT Thurs. so ya never know.

I went to ROFR around the same time, 9/13, and still nothing.

This isn't a good sign.

Our 1st attempt at a contract this summer was for 250 pts @ OKW for $68 -- didn't pass ROFR.

2nd attempt -- 270 pts, OKW $72 -- PASSED!!

Just signed the closing documents today -- it took almost 5 weeks to get through Disney! -- but in just a couple more weeks I'll be able to make our first ressies as DVC owners!

How long should we wait before starting to call MS to check if we are in the system????

I read on one thread 3-5 days, but the closing company told me 10 days.....10 days, are they crazy???? I think that 10 days will seem longer than waiting on ROFR twice!!!!!

I just called him yesterday, and he said he has heard nothing and did not expect to for another week. (Of course, he said Disney has been taking the full 30 days, too...which we know is not true.). I just feel like an annoyance to call him again.

Who knows??? I guess I will just wait (not so) patiently.

Kim, if I knew my broker wasn't being up-front about the time it is taking for contracts to go through ROFR (granted that there may be some contracts that are taking 30 days), I think I'd "annoy" him on a daily basis -- and not feel the least bit guilty about it!! It would be interesting to know if any of the other people who passed ROFR this week used the same broker as you did!!

I have Jerry at TTS. I know Mike had Jason. I haven't heard any BWV pass this week, and that is what we are waiting on. Do you think that has something to do with it?

Kim, it does seem like OKW contracts were the ones passing this week. Maybe they are reviewing all the contracts they have for given resort -- who really knows! Good luck -- hope you hear SOON!!

I did wind up calling Jerry. No word from Disney

He really doubts that Disney will snatch it up.

Luckily, after our trip in Nov. We do not plan to go back until Halloween '05, so with luck, all should still be wrapped up before the 11 month window opens (want my 1st trip to have those BW views).

Oh well, I guess I will just live vicariously through all of you.
