Any RNR-headache advice?

The last time I rode RNR I got the WORST headache! :confused3 Luckily it was toward the end of the day, though I couldn't enjoy Fantasmic which really stunk! I'm going to the chiropractor the day before we leave for WDW, though I will have gone to Epcot and MK before we hit MGM. Any advice for less headache-risk on RNR? I suspect I won't be able to avoid the headache and I hate that because I loved the ride and I don't want to be the wussie one waiting outside for my friends. :sad2:

The back gives me a serious headache but if I ride up front I can avoid it. Make sure you ride in front. Too much brain shaking in the back!

My advice is to keep your head as plastered to the back of the headrest as possible. I have also found that on this, as well as other rides, trying to keep your eyes focused as straight ahead as possible is helpful- it confuses your brain less I think :rotfl: Hope this helps- I intend to be implementing these tricks when we arrive...in 22 days!

Ashley, I'll be back on the 23rd, so I'll let you know if your plan works :thumbsup2

This worked for me also. The first time I ever rode RnR, my head got tossed pretty badly between the restraints. I'm short, so my (multiple) earrings dug into my head and I actually had a few scrapes along with the headache! Every time I've ridden since, I make an effort to lean back and keep my head against the headrest. Never had an issue with headaches or earring-dig again.

I agree, hold your body tight against the back of the seat, this way you avoid whiplash when you start, and your head doesn't jerk around so much. Because I have a fear of losing my glasses, I hug the restraint and hold my glasses on with one hand. That works for me.

I find this so true!!! The few times I rode in the back I came off with vicious headaches. I always ask to be toward the front.

HTH!!! :teeth:

I have the same problem with rides that jerk you around. I always take a Tylenol when we get in line. Also, make sure you've had plenty to drink. Even being the slightest bit dehydrated can make it worse. And definitely push your head back against the head rest - it really helps!

I vote for riding in the front also! :thumbsup2

I'm another one who can NOT ride in the back on RnRC!! It makes my head hurt too. Now, from the middle, up to the front, Im perfectly fine. I dont need to hold my head still or look straight ahead. Its just that darn back that jerks you around too much.
