Any risks waiting to purchase tickets at resort (other than price increase)?

We have a stay planned for January 4-7th at Royal Pacific Resort and Cabana Bay (our last night). I booked the hotel rooms with Airmiles points and also got one 3 days park-to-park adult ticket with points. For the other 3 tickets, I'm thinking of waiting when we arrive at RPR from WDW to buy. My reasoning is that if we get sick in the first portion of our trip, I won't be out of money for the Universal portion except for the taxes I paid for the hotel rooms. Yes it would suck to loose the points, but at least it's not hard cash like the tickets.

If it was for WDW, I would buy now, before they increase, since I know unused tickets keep their value even if expired but from reading on Universal, it looks like the tickets just expire and that UO won't apply the value on other tickets if we need to cancel last minute due to illness? We are not planning on getting sick but with my luck this year and from how many people I know who got sick (Covid or other viruses) on vacation, I think it's a real possibility. That is why I'm thinking of waiting until January 4th to purchase. Any risks other than they will have increased in price between now and then or that the promo buy 2 get 2 extra days ends before January? This trip is also our last trip to FL for, at least, a few years since we have decided to visit other countries in the near future, so who knows when we could go back if we do have to cancel this portion of the trip?!?

None that I can think of.
making purchases at the ticket desk in the hotels is usually pretty quick and easy
