Any rides better at certain time of day??

The sensation can be different, the capacity may be increased for evening crowds. If he told you that they move faster, I have ocean front property to sell in AZ.

He did say that it was faster! He told me they sped it up! Guess I am just naive!!

I LOVE Splash at night one of my favorites!!! and matterhorn

Love BTMRR at night, love the train at night so peaceful and everything lit up.

Love HM, eyes are adjusted and I see more things pop out than during the day.

I love Jungle Cruise and any dark rides at night. I don't have to wait for my eyes to adjust so it makes it a really different experience.

I also love the storybook land canal boats at night - really a "must do" in our opinion.

I actually really like riding POTC at night, although no one else mentioned it so I'm wondering if I'm the only one. :confused3 I also agree with many posters about Jungle Cruise and HM. I would love to ride Screamin' at night but I haven't been able to conveniently fit it into my plans on previous trips. Hopefully next time!

It is my goal to try many of the rides already listed at night on our upcoming October trip. I've always been told that the Jungle Cruise is awesome at night, so that is top on my list!

We usually get super tired right after dinner and don't stay crazy late.......but I want to experience more rides "in the dark" so I'm hoping we can make it happen soon!

I have loved the Matterhorn and ToT at night in the past and would definitely recommend them to others. Both rides has a completely differen feel than in the daylight.

I didn't notice anyone mention the Storybook Canals (but I skimmed so I may have missed it), I really like the Canal at night, with all the little lights on and the lights on the arbor by Agraba, it's really a fun one to do at night. :)

That's what I was going to say. :) I love the canal boats at night. Especially with the "giant" ducks asleep in the park.

I like POTC at night (actually, I like coming out of it at night, to all the lights. :))

My kids begged to ride Screamin' at night on our last trip (it was January, so fortunately that part of the park was still open after dark...), and that was a LOT of fun.

We're also fans of BTMRR at night. It does "feel" faster.

Jungle Cruise isn't my favorite ride on earth, but we ride it every trip, and my husband and kids like it at night best.

I REALLY like the 5 FL dark rides best at night. Plus Teacups, because of the lights.

I believe the whole resort is better at night. It becomes a whole new park in my opinion.

Is it weird that I think space mountain is awesome at night? When you leave the ride its like you really didn't.

I had no idea all of these were so cool at night. Man, we're going to have busy evenings. Hope my kiddos (who go to bed at 7 every night) are up to it LOL

Jungle Cruise at night! I haven't considered how cool BTMRR would be at night, but I'm gonna do that next time!

I agree totally on this one. It also helped that we had a CM who was just a kick. We quote his goofy lines all the time and bust up laughing.

My kids go to bed at 7 every night too. We would take a real long nap in the afternoons so we could stay up late at night. Sometimes our baby would fall asleep in the stroller, but the two big boys were good to go!

Loving this thread! There are a few rides I hadn't thought about riding at night (teacups, storybook canal) that I'm now excited to ride in a few weeks!

Before this thread, my favorite night rides were Splash Mountain & Pirates.

Well everyone has basically said everything I love at night too, but to give my own list:

Disneyland:

-Splash Mountain (I ONLY ride this ride at night now...at least in the American parks! Never get on it before 10 p.m. in the summer time)

-Matterhorn

-BTM (Yeah TOTAL different experience at night!)

-POTC and HM (I dont know why but I love being on these rides at night although they are both in doors! But I think I just love the whole NOS feel at night. And usually short lines as well, so that helps lol)

DCA:

-Screamin (This USE to be hands down one of the best rides at night when you time to when the fireworks would start!!! Oh man, so much fun speeding on that coaster as you watch them pop above you! Now that WOC has come, it has killed that little element sadly!)

-TOT (I'm good in day or night, but there is an erieness about doing it at night like the HM!)

-Swings (I dont know why but I enjoy it at night AND you can do the firework trick as well although not as cool as Screamin but still fun!)

-RSR(?) (Apparantly this is suppose to be like BTM at night, ie, a very different experience! We'll see!)

And I'm sorry I guess I will be the odd man out but I never understood why people like Jungle Cruise better at night? I just never got it and I been on it lots at night. I guess I like it better in the day because you can see the animals and details better, but thats just me!

On our last trip to Disneyland my daughter -- she's nine -- decided Autopia is now her favorite ride (mostly because she can drive by herself) and it was awesome to be on the course at night with the fireworks going off.

Other than that, BTMRR and Matterhorn are my nighttime favs.

Jungle Cruise at night!

Just had to share my recent experience with riding JC at night. This was at WDW, but I had heard it was cool after dark so my BFF and I went to check it out. We were the only 2 people in line at 8:30! We waited a couple of minutes and no one else came, so the skipper offered to take just the two of us. She asked if we had been on JC before. When we said we had ridden it earlier in the day, she offered to skip the usual spiel and give us all the behind the scenes secrets usually reserved for special tours. It was so amazing!
