Just curious if there are any rides that are better to ride during the day or any that are better to ride at night. Are there any rides that close early? Thanks!

Toontown and it's attractions close down in the evening when fireworks are scheduled.

Tom Sawyer Island and the Boats around it close early evening.

Main Street Vehicles stop running on super crowded days and other days before the first parade.

All Paradise Pier attractrions close for WoC, about 30-60 and sometimes sooner. Though Little Mermaid, Toy Story Midway Mania and Goofy's SKy School stay open.

At night I like to ride a lot of attractions with outdoor elements, but in particular the coasters, Splash Mountain and Junlge Cruise.

I took the advice of a CM and tried BTMRR at night and it was really fun! It is a different ride at night! :thumbsup2 We also like the Golden Zephyr at night..all of Paradise Pier is lit up...what fun! :thumbsup2

When I was there in March a CM told me that they speed up the rides at night. We noticed it with BTMRR and Splash. We didn't even bother with Splash in the morning because it was so much more fun at night.

The sensation can be different, the capacity may be increased for evening crowds. If he told you that they move faster, I have ocean front property to sell in AZ.

We were able to ride BTMRR during the fireworks on our last trip, and it was really amazing. It became one of our favorite memories! :cloud9: Definitely one to put on the list to aim for.

Jungle Cruise at night! I haven't considered how cool BTMRR would be at night, but I'm gonna do that next time!

I have to agree, Splash is defiantly one to go on at night. Also, if you don't mind missing out on it I'd say go on rides during the parades, there's a lot less people. :)

I always enjoy the Jungle Cruise at night. And my favorite time to ride Big Thunder is at night, while the fireworks are going off. Best view available in my opinion.

I perfer riding at night time for most rides even if there are rides that are good during the day. Fantasyland is just magical at night time and all sparkling. I found riding the Matterhorn at night to be soooooo much fun then in the day. To be honest and in my opinion there is no comparison. I rarely ride it in the day time. Indiana Jones at night is fun, and so is the haunted masion as it gives it more of that eerie yet fun Disney feel LOL! I like the Jungle Cruise better during the day as you can see more things in greater detail during the day. BTMR is cool at night time as is Autopia and it's really neat when you can enjoy them as the fireworks are going off. Grizzly River Run is great during the day to cool off, The Tower of Terror I think is better during the day cause when they open the doors you can see out onto Disneyland and Anaheim and the view is incredible. When you focus on the view you almost forget about the drop and it makes the ride that much more fun.

I agree with all the previous posts, those rides are all fun at night! Howvever one that has not been mentioned that we discovered as our new favorite night ride is Grizzy River Run!! We went on after the first WOC show and it was a total walk-on. We went on 3 times in a row, no wait and got drenched to the bone!! Best part was it was our last ride of the night and we left after via the GHC exit and went to our hotel (PPH). It ended up being a real highlight of our trip. Another cool part about it was when we were going up the lift hill, we could see filtered parts of the 2nd WOC show going on. It was cool..............and it is really dark on the ride, you really do not know which way you are going. Made it a whole new experience!!:thumbsup2

I didn't notice anyone mention the Storybook Canals (but I skimmed so I may have missed it), I really like the Canal at night, with all the little lights on and the lights on the arbor by Agraba, it's really a fun one to do at night. :)

I think anything that is outdoors is worth riding at least once at night. Some of our favorites are: (In no particular order)

DLand:
BTMRR (Best view during Fireworks IMHO)
Jungle Cruise
Storybook Canal Boats
Teacups
Nemo Subs
Matterhorn
Splash
Carousel
Mark Twain (when there is no F! they run the Mark Twain. Totally different experience!)

DCA:
Screamin'
TOT(the view is killer)
All of Bugs Land (I think its at its best at night)
Silly Symphony Swings
GRR

Another cool thing about GRR at night is that the part with the "steam" is more mysterious.

I love ALL of Fantasyland at night!!! LOVE the Storybook Canals at night too! But The Teacups at beautiful at night! :goodvibes I like to ride the rides while everyone else watches the parades and stuff! We walk most rides during this time or only wait a couple minutes!

After many trips we FINALLY rode Screamin' at night and thought it was better (if that's possible!)

Speaking of Big Thunder, I have always thought the best time to ride it is when it's raining. There will be a few chances to catch it that way this week!

I swear Screamin' was faster at night...haha it wasn't, but it was amazing whizzing around in the dark with all the lights around flashing in the dark. (I think it might close during WOC, but often reopens after)

That is actually pretty rare. Basically you have to be in line right before the line is cut off so it can close for WoC to catch it when it's dark. On rare occasions Screamin opens back up but that require WoC to stop running well before the park closes, and usually the last WoC conicides with park closing or start shortly after.
