I just called to make a PS for our first night at Disneyland. We wanted to eat at Hook's Pointe, but I was told that it will be closed for rehab. The CM recommended Catal instead. Is that a comparable choice? Are there any other restaurants we should consider? (We will not have park entry on that day.) Thanks!

I would like to know too. We are planning dinner there on our first night of our trip. I hope it's good!

We have eaten there twice for dinner. The first time was so-so, the second time was a little better. The menu just isn't that exciting to me and the service is slow and prices seem a little higher than other upscale restaurants. But the views up top (outside) are spectacular and it is very relaxing after a day in the parks. But...take note, I am in the minority here, most people LOVE Catal - it gets great reviews ususally. Oh, and Hooke's Pointe is my favorite, when is it closed?

I was trying for April 17. The CM didn't tell me the dates of the rehab, just that it would be closed on that day.

I've eaten there twice, once for lunch and once for dinner and was very happy both times (as were the people I was with). I've never eaten at Hook's Point, so I can't compare them, however. We also had a wonderful meal at the Jazz Kitchen, it was a bit $$, but we went 'whole hog' for that meal with appatizers, wine, dinner, and Bananas Foster for dessert!
