Hi everyone,

My fiance and I are going to Disneyworld for our honeymoon. He has only been there once when he was little and it's been a while since I was last there.

Anyways, we are really into restaurants and eating out. I'm so confused as to which places would be the best for us to go to....there are so many choices! We are going to WDW Sept. 5th to Sept. 10th. We both love a large variety of foods and are not picky eaters. I want to make some ADR's soon because it seems to be the way to go.

Can anyone suggest any restaurants we should definately go to?

I appreciate your help! princess:

Thanks!

The question is are you on the dining plan? If so, you have a great option of choices to choose from. DF and I are going on our disney honeymoon Oct 4 thru 11th and we are on the dining plan. Here is our ADR's:

4th - Concourse Steakhouse
5th - Shutters (before Mickey's Halloween Party)
6th - Le Cellier
7th - Narcoossee's
8th - Sci - Fi (out of pocket)
9th - Coral Reef
10th - Ohana's

I have been to Disney numerous times and wanted places that I have never gotten around to eating before. I have also heard California Grill at the Contemporary, and Citricos at the Grand Floridian are to be excellent. I believe any where you choose in Disney will be outstanding. Congratulations and do not forget you Minnie and Mickey ears :thumbsup2

And do not forget to post your honeymoon report on here afterwards. ;)

If you are up for some fun, I would definitely try 50's Prime Time Cafe and/or Whispering Canyon Cafe. Both are such a blast. (If you're going for food, WCC is much better) Also, 'Ohana would be a great place for dinner. We also enjoyed Rainforest Cafe and Planet Hollywood even though they are chain restaurants. I'm sure you will have a great time, no matter where you choose. Congratulations!! :)

You should go to allearsnet.com and check out the menus. That way, you could get a better idea of what is on the menu at each restaurant.

There are a lot of different choices as far as food and atmosphere go. There are quiet, romantic places and there are loud and fun places.

If you are looking for loud and fun.......Whispering Canyon is my recommendation!!

Well here's some suggestions. Rather than give you "must do's", how bout I give you a survey of Disney Dining. These are all good or better imo and
I assume you like to try new things. If you hate trying new things eliminate Boma.

Chef Mickey's. Yeah I know it's a character meal but I think it would be fun for a newlywed couple.
Ca Grill for wishes. Get a seating about an hour and a half to two hours before. It's not quiet and romantic by any means, but it's a great view and good food.
Spoodles. Great food
Le Cellier. Nice steak.
Artist point
Boma
Ohana
Chef's De France or Biergarten (depending upon whether you want French or German)
Crystal Palace. Ok hey, I've a soft spot for Pooh. I think that one would be fun also. If you did dinner at CM's do breakfast here. If you did breakfast there, do dinner here.

This is a nice variety,
My favorite is Spoodles, but there are really no bad ones on the list. It all depends upon your tastes. But this will give you a good whistle stop tour of Disney Dining over 9 days.

If you only have 5 or 6 then eliminate Crystal Palace, and either Artist Point or Ca Grill. and eliminate Le Cellier or Spoodles.
That would still leave you with
Chef Mickey's
Ca Grill or Artist Point
Spoodles or Le Cellier
Boma
Chef's De France or Biergarten.
Ohana.

Still a nice variety and a good survey of Disney Dining.

Thank you so much everyone! We are on the Free Dining plan (I'm not even sure how that happened- we're going through a travel agent). Has anyone been to the luau at the polynesian? I was thinking of doing that. I've read so much about the whispering canyon that we'll def be going there! I think we might try the Cal. Grill too...can anyone tell me what wishes is?

Thanks so much again...everyone is so nice and friendly here :lovestruc

Our favorites are O'Hana's (fire roasted meats), Cape May Cafe (seafood buffet) and 50's Prime Time (eating supper in your mom's 1950's kitchen). I would also try the Sci-Fi (dinner at the drive-in while watching movie clips). I would recommend doing the Hoop Dee Do show (western saloon style show) at Fort wilderness. It is a lot of fun. Flying Fish is great for seafood, and if you enjoy comfort foods and want characters Liberty Tree Tavern is an option.

Wishes can easily be explored on this site at

// UPSCALE //

Citricos (GF) closed a few days early in the week

// FUN - CHARACTER //

Bistro de Paris (Epcot-France)

// SOLID DINING //
Kona Cafe (PR)
The Plaza Restaurant (MK)
Chef de France (Epcot-France)

Some others have recommend fun places to eat just realize places like Coral Reef, SciFi, 50's Prime Time have table seating configurations which will define your seating location. Coral Reef seating of 4 next to aquarium( other seatring areas seat even more), Prime Time seating of four gets the pictures kitchen table with TV. Sci Fi cars are group of 6 or could be mixed in with another group.

Our favorites:

breakfast - Cape May, Spoodles, Boma

lunch - 50's Prime Time, Rose and Crown, Liberty Tree Tavern, LeCellier, Beaches and Cream, Earl of Sandwich, Casey's

dinner - Yachtsman Steakhouse, Flying Fish, Jiko, Spoodles, Boma, Palio, Calif. Grill

all meal - Kona Cafe, Grand Flordian Cafe

be aware some of these take 2 credits on the dining plan.

have fun! :thumbsup2
