im stressed bc unsure how to tour each park and don't want to waste time in rides that are exactly the same as WDW bc have only 2.5 days-any recommendations?
Thanks!

We are there sept 4 (half day), 5 and 6. And basically want to do all that is not a repeat of wdw.

Don't worry too much, 2 1/2 days is plenty of time, especially if you're skipping WDW repeats. Out of the unique Disneyland and DCA attractions these are the ones I'd recommend getting on earliest in the day:

The Matterhorn, recently refurbished so it has a bit longer than average line lately.

The Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage is cute, better than I thought, and the ride vehicle is so unique and vintage Disney.

Autopia is nearby, and is an opening day attraction, though it has been re done a few times.

Indiana Jones, once through the regular line early if it is short, and at least one more time with Fastpass later in the day because it is AWESOME!

Toontown, with it's asphalt and lack of shade it gets hot later in the day, but it is very cute to run around through all the characters homes and has the unique to DLR Roger Rabbit attraction.

I always recommended lunch in New Orleans Square because there are a lot of options in a small area and the ambiance is just the best.

In DCA, Radiator Springs Racers and the whole Cars Land area is pretty awesome, I'd get a Fastpass after riding this one via the single rider line or standby because you'll really want to do this one twice!

I like the Monsters, Inc. ride in DCA, too, and I'm pretty sure it is unique to California.

The Bug's Land in DCA is mostly for younger kids with a handful of milder rides, but the theming is super cute and detailed, plus there is a water fountain play area you can run through when it heats up outside.

In DCA, I love to recommend Paradise Garden Grill near the Pier area, it serves tasty Greek skewers and sides, there is a beautiful covered seating area, a usually empty bathroom nearby, and the pizza place next door if you need to pick up anything for picky eaters.

I would also recommend a World of Color dining package for lunch or dinner at Carthay Circle. The restaurant is one of DLR's best, and you get Fastpasses for a reserved (standing, like everyone else) area exclusive to dining packages. I haven't seen the new Anniversary show, but the whole set up is pretty impressive and, I believe, unique to DCA.

Have fun planning!
