We're traveling with our DD (6mth old) to AKL for the first time and DH and I used to go and try all the different dinning places in WDW, now its a bit different with DD.

She's not old enough to sit in a high chair and I didn't want to carry her through out the whole meal either. We were planning on bringing her fold up high chair that attaches to the table directly. Would that be a problem? And we don't want to carry it every where we go so I think we're gonna counter service most of our meals...but I'd like to have one nice dinner!

How are the restuarants in AKL? Any ideas or tips? THANKS!

The first time we went to Disney, my youngest DD was 4 months old. We bought a umbrella stroller that had a full harness strap that held her in really well. It was perfect for resturants....We would just push her up to the table and we could feed her in that also. We even did that in Cinderella's caste for breakfast.

Just a thought :goodvibes

I was going to suggest this too. We brought our stroller right into the restaurants when we went.
A sling might work as well.
Something we did when our kids were in the "in between" stage was bring the infant carrier/car seat into the restaurant and we had velcro straps we purchased. We would attach the straps to and through the infant seat and attach it to the chair. They stayed secure, but we were able to sit and eat. In many places you can request a booth, and the infant carrier can be placed fairly securely between the booth and the table. Another thing we've done in the past is to bring rolled up blankets to stabilize the child in the regular high chair.

WOW, I didn't know we can bring our stroller INTO the restuarants! That'd be much easier than lugging the fold up highchair! The restuarants here won't let us bring it in, they make us leave it at the door. This makes things much easier if I can just stroll her in directly! Woo hoo! Thanks for the tip!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:
