Any recommendations for credit card that gives miles . . .

that we can use to fly from Seattle to MCO? In my dream world here's what I want:
No expiration of points
No annual fees if paid in full each month (or even better no annual fees ever)
Interest doesn't matter since I pay in full
Hopefully an airline that will let me transfer points or partner with another airline in the unlikely event we ever vacation anywhere other than DL or WDW
Substantial points given (hopefully better than that 1% of purchases we get for using the Disney card).

Anything else I should look for?
Anyone have a mileage card you could recommend?
TIA

PS please ignore any misspellings; DH is messing with my spelling trying to "help" me :goodvibes

We have the Alaska Airlines Visa.
1 mile for every dollar spent
Annual fee 75.00
Once per year you get a companion flies for 99.00 with qualifying purchase.( we are flying to MCO in June this way)
Of course Alaska is our favorite airline because they offer a lot of direct flights to where we like to go:goodvibes

Good luck in your search

I have the Delta American Express. Miles never expire and they do wave the annual fee for the first year. You will receive a minimum 10,000 miles when you sign up then another 10-15,000 miles after you make your first purchase. what I like about it is you can use a minimum of 10,000 miles to save $100 off. If you would like a link to the sign up you can PM me your email address.

Look at the Capital One Venture card. They give 2% on all purchases(and bonuses for shopping through their website). There is a $59 annual fee. Points can be used on any airline and number of points needed is based on cost of the airline ticket. Not sure of the expiration date of miles....we don't let ours collect dust :)
They had a big offer recently matching points from your current cards.

We have Flex Perks through US Bank and if you spend over a certain dollar amount, they give you points to use against your annual fee, otherwise it is $50 (I think, we have never had to pay it). You can book on any airline and they give you a credit you can use to pay for luggage fees, seat fees, etc. I'm not sure about the expiration part.

Two imho... The venture card that cost $59 a year and gives two miles for every dollar spent and the trade out is 300 points for each dollar back. This does seem like a poor exchange rate but i found it was basically the same as the other flying miles CCs. The second is the venture one card which is 1.25 points per dollar and does not have any fees. Same exchange rate. Both are Capital One cards and we really like them (i have both). They do not charge money exchange rate charges (making purchases in non US Dollars) and have been absolutely problem free for us. The way it works is you buy your tickets as you normally would and charge them to the CC then call capital one and tell them to apply a certain amount of points to the tickets and they put that amount of cash back into your account. So since you are converting points into a cash refund to the card it is totally on you which tickets or which airline you want to use. Which is why they say no restrictions or black out dates because all they are doing is giving you the cash back.

Forgot to add that when you have the Delta American Express you get 1 free checked bag for everyone in your party up to nine people.n That's a savings of $50 roundtrip per person.

The Venture card has a better exchange rate if you use it to pay off travel expenses you purchased with the card. You earn 2 "miles" for each dollar charged and can get a credit equal to $0.01 per dollar spent on travel. So if you book a airline ticket for $250, you need 25,000 miles to pay it in full, which means you need to charge $12,500 to earn those points.

The Venture is a good deal if your ticket is usually about $250, not as good a deal if it is more than $500. For more expensive tickets, a card which earns FF tickets will return more value per $ charged.

I beleive that C1 will give you 10,000 "Miles" for signing up and waive the $59 fee for the first year. They just ended a crazy good promotion for those with lots of FF miles, so they may be a bit backed up in processing new cards right now.

If you fly Alaska and the $99 companion ticket is a good deal on the routes you fly, many beleive that the Alaska Airlines credit card is a very good deal if you want a card which earns FF miles.

I also like the Starwood Prefered Guest card, whcih earns points good for hotels such as the Swan/Dolphin and Sheraton Anaheim. The SPG points can also be transferred to most (but not all) FF programs and allows you to boost your mileage balance. I just transferred 60,000 SPG points for 5 nights at the Sheraton Park at the Anaheim Resort for our stay during the D23 Expo and 50,000 AA miles. My parents recently transferred 60,000 SPG points to AirBerlin and received 2 one-way business class tickets from SFO to Rome this summer.

Best of luck -- Suzanne

Thanks so much, all of you, for giving me such specific details to work with and compare.

Can't believe I just missed such a good promo as Capitol One's!

:scared1: I completely forgot about the existence of blackout dates! That's another thing I need to consider.

I love the idea of putting point onto any airline, and our tickets are usually in the $500 range so that's a consideration for the Venture card as well.

Hmm. Much to ponder before going with one.

Thanks again.:goodvibes

I would apply for the British Airways card that is currently giving 100,000 mile signup bonus. BA partners with American Airlines.
