Any recommendations for an exchange in the Caribbean?

I'd include Cancun in the Caribbean and recommend the Royals there. Otherwise, there really are few I'd consider kid friendly that are on the list. For Aruba the Marriott and Playa Linda come to mind and for the Bahama's, Atlantis (not on the DVC list now) and that's about it. I can't think of anything on Cayman's, St. Marteen, St. John, Jamaica or the like I'd put as truly kid friendly. Actually my first choice would have been La Cabana in Aruba. The resort is not up to DVC trade standards but you it's a great place for kids. You might be able to get an exchange privately. Email or PM me and I can give you a couple of suggestions along those lines. And most of these are not going to be wallet friendly due to air though Cancun might be the easiest.

There is no exchange I'd recommend. It simply isn't a wise use of points. Go to TUG, redweek.com, skyauction.com or other sites and pay a cheap cash rate for the resort you decide. If you must rent your DVC points out to cover the cost. Dean's list is a good one. Costa Linda is another good choice on Aruba. Good luck.

I would have included it as third choice after the two Marriott's and ahead of PL had it been on the DVC exchange list. There are a few others to consider that are non DVC exchanges, but I only mentioned La Cabana because it is a large resort with many kids and activities, was previously on the DVC exchange list and I own there so know enough to feel comfortable suggesting it for this purpose.
