Hello all,

Have booked three night via booking.com (free cancellation) for about $80/night. I think it's a pretty good deal given the free hot breakfast and reviews on yelp and trip advisor.

Just wondering if anyone has been staying there recently and what you think about the hotel? Worth to stay? or not?

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks.

I'm in the same boat as you. Just booked a full kitchen suite at Desert Palm for next week. There are 2 adults and 3 kids so having the room and the breakfast is what enticed me. The walk doesn't seem too long either. I'm still toying with the idea of HoJo and Residence Inn Maingate. Hojo would save me about $350 but would not be as comfortable and we would need to find breakfast every morning. RI would be a little cheaper but they lack the 2 queens for one of the days I'm staying. Any thoughts out there?

I haven't stayed recently so can't help you with current conditions. We stayed at this place in October 2007 and then only for one night. We found the experience meh but weren't really there long enough to know if it could have been better. We had only a standard room. It was dark and dated and had an odd smell. Again, this was 2007; I realize a lot can change in 4 years. Parking was underground and tight but adequate. The walk to Disneyland feels slightly longer than the walk from Hojo, so it's certainly doable. Hopefully someone with more recent experience will add some comments.

We stayed there dec5-9. We liked it. Room was nice but not really big. We had the suite that had a king bed then another room with a bunk bed and sofa sleeper. The breakfast was not very good but enough to hold us over for an early lunch. I would stay again but would not stay there if its only for the breakfast.

We stayed there when they had just started their construction to update the hotel, so we got really good prices. They gave us the wrong room at first, but our second room was super.

I had a ECV scooter, they kept in their store room behind the desk. Dh and Dd parked in the Disabled Parking lot and met me at the tram.

I rode on Katella towards Disneyland Drive about 1/2 way there is a walk thru gate that my scooter just scooted thru and I cut thru the Disabled parking lot right over to the tram. The tram took me up to the front of Disneyland.

After Desert Palm finished their construction I could not afford to ever stay there again!!
