Any Recent Stays at Reunion Resort?

So after a lot of back and forth, my family has completely ruled out staying onsite for our 2012 visit. Because my son and husband are in love with the idea of a lazy river, we've further narrowed our choices down to a three-bedroon unit at either Wyndham Bonnet Creek or Reunion Resort. I can find lots of good information and reviews on here about WBC :thumbsup2, but not too much about Reunion, which my family is leaning towards. Can anyone share an opinion about Reunion (3 bedroom villas there, in particular)? Has anyone stayed at both Reunion and WBC and has a preference for one over the other? Thanks!

Stayed there in August (in 3BR condo). Units are a lot bigger than BC. Area is more spread out (a lot more spread Out), but there are shuttles to take you anywhere onsite. More upscale than BC. Onsite dining and room service. Non-tipping resort, so anything you purchase gets an automatic gratuity added for tip sharing.

Water park area was nice and so were all of the other pools. Water park can be an additional fee depending on membership level of owner. You cannot bring any food or beverages to pool or waterpark, you must purchase (sodas were $3/each I believe), but they do have complimentary ice water.

We stayed there on Wyndham points, and waterpark admission was included as was discounts for golf.

We prefer this resort to BC and will definately stay there again.

Thanks Janet! If we stay at Reunion, we'll most likely rent directly from Reunion or from All Star Vacation Homes, so that we won't have to worry about whether or not we'll have access to the water park.

We stayed at Reunion for a week last year in a 3BR condo with waterpark access. We were concerned it would be a long drive to the parks, but it was....10-15 minutes?...and a very easy drive. Somewhat in the middle of nowhere, but getting more built up. Publix (grocery) is very close; Target etc maybe 10 minutes. There is a main pool/lazy river that was a long-ish walk from our condo, but another smaller pool right there.

It was very nice having the room to spread out, a kitchen, etc.

If you're interested, I would highly recommend the owner we rented from - and it's much less expensive than going through Wyndham. Feel free to PM if you'd like more details.

Emily,

I'm glad to hear that it doesn't take too long to get to the parks. Reunion seems so much farther away from WDW than the other off-site resorts I've stayed at, so distance was a concern of mine.

I'll try to pm you, but I don't know if I've reached enough posts here to be able to do so! In the meantime, can you tell me if the owner that you rented from was able to give you access to the water park? The lazy river and kids water play area are big factors in my family's desire to stay at Reunion!
