Any recent reviews of San Angel ?

We love it, and go the 1st night on every trip.

Last two trips we got lucky and had great tables, love the views and Disney Magic.

Good service, although I noticed the international cast working in Mexico seemed a little shy from a cultural point-of-view, but once we got talking, had a great time!

Food is not Tex-Mex so if you're a huge fan of your local Chillies restaurant... this is not the same americanized type of Mexican food.

:wizard: You HAVE to try the- Pollo a Las Rajas.... very unique and yummy dish!!!

Its one of the very few places at Disney where you can actually eat a meal in a Dark Ride... I have 10 local Mexican Food places at home....but non of them actually seat you in the middle of a Dark Ride at DIsney. If you're like me, I go to DISNEY for the total entertainment experience.... there is NO comparison to eating at a local Mexican restaurant.

I have only dined at San Angel Inn twice and I would definetely go back again, but it seems to be the restaurant that you either like it or you don't, no in between.

We ate there in early Feb and were unimpressed. The food was OK, but not great. We had high expectations that were not met. It was a very neat place to eat, but was also VERY crowded.

In the end, we will not go back. As many other posters commented we have better Mexican and Tex-Mex food around the corner from home.

We ate there in Sept. and I wasn't impessed. Not the same mexican food we get here in Ohio. The service I have to say was great. I personally wouldn't go again. This trip we are trying Tutto Italiana and Aksersuh(sp) princess breakfast.

Everyone please remember. That the food in world showcase is NOT gonna be the same as your local places. Thats the whole point. To bring you food thats gonna taste like what you would get in the country itself. It may not taste EXACTLY like it and maybe a little off, but they try their best to make it taste authentic. The new italian place isnt gonna taste the same as Olive Garden. San Angel Inn isnt gonna taste like chilli's or other mexican places. Thats all SO-CALLED mexican food. Its not REAL mexican food. I know what REAL mexcian food taste like because I have been to Cancun, Mexico. I bet you any money if you also had a french restraunt near by and been to it, its not gonna taste like Chefs de France food. Last year DH and I went to Williamsburg and ate at a french restraunt and it didnt taste anything like Chefs de France. It was still good. But chefs de france was better IMHO.

We ate there 2 weeks ago and did not like it. We didn't like in many years ago, but friends of ours encourged us to go. I like the atmosphere, but for my 3 year old it was too dark and she didn't want to eat.

The sangria was good, however. It wasn't on the menu but I asked for it.
