Any Recent Reviews of Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner?

We went last summer, and enjoyed the food. We're huge mashed potato fans, so the Mac & Stuffing may have been ignored a bit as well as the pork (or was it ham) The Turkey, veg, steak and potatoes were so scrumptious, we really had no appetite for the other items. BTW, the bread and salad appie was equally delightfull. The apple cobbler was yummy, but we barely had a taste. We were stuffed to the gills btw the salad, rolls, turkey, steak, green beans, potatoes and gravy. I'm getting hungry popcorn::

so.. is the dessert tere apple cobbler..or cherry cobbler?? (please say apple lol)

My family just got back last week from our first trip. We had DDP w/ 8 TS 7meals. I think I would rank LTT as #7 out of 8 meals based on quality of food. Chef Mickey's being the worst. The atmosphere and CM made up for the just ok food. I loved the dessert. The flank steak was also good. Everything else was just ok. My kids normally love Souffer's Mac and Cheese and for some reason they hated all Disney Mac and Cheese. It all looked the same to me. :confused3 The apple crisp and ice cream was one of my better desserts of the trip. Our waiter Raymond was a riot. He made the meal!!!! He kept getting DS12 to do his job like let the table and pass out the food. It was all in good fun. I am not sure I would go back but I am glad I tried it
once. Since I just figured out how to post pictures.......

One negative. The narrow stairway to the bathroom :guilty:
Or am I mistaken :confused3

You are correct. A narrow stairway up to a too small bathroom.:sad2:

We went to LTT last December. We enjoyed the characters and the atmosphere. The food was okay, reminded me of cafeteria food, not delicious but edible. It wasn't our best meal, but I'm still glad we went.:thumbsup2

My family loves LTT:) We ate there for Christmas Eve on our last trip--and it was yummy!!! DD agrees that the bathroom is tiny!

Had to go just once for the experience because characters leaving. Was crowded, our kids did not eat much if anything. Liked the dessert. Have pictures of food:

I have been to LTT 2 times, and my third is coming up in September. I have always found the food to be very good-not outstanding, but good, comfort-type food. It is a restaurant based on Americana so rightly so, they serve Americana-style food. Yes, it's Stouffer's mac and cheese. The place is sponsored by Stouffer's so what else would they serve? I find the meat entrees to be very good as well. Now, the green beans, to me, are not good. They are not cooked like my mother and grandmother cooked! I am from the South and we cook our green beans soft. Green beans here (as well as all over WDW) are served cooked firm. I just skip those.

The place is, to me, one of the top three in WDW for character interaction. I hated to hear it was changing so I wanted to visit one more time before it's gone.

As for the loudness of the place, I find ALL character meals in WDW loud. That's just part of the deal. I expect that when I go. I try to go with the flow and enjoy myself. I mean, I am in WDW!!! Who cares if it's loud??!!:rotfl:

Go, and enjoy.

Does anyone know what the plan is for this eaterie after the characters leave the dinner? We enjoy lunch here where we can order different things off a menu. Do you think they will keep the "family style" dinner or not?

My family enjoyed it. We are comfort food people, so this was a great meal for us. We like the family style, my kids get tired of nuggets and pizza, so this is a great choice.

I totally agree! I tend to eat a lot of beef on the dining plan and this is a good alternative. The mashed potatoes are "real" and I love it with the turkey and gravy.

It is a MUST DO before MNSSHP!
