Any recent Remy impressions? $125 seems steep...

We've been to both. Palo brunch and dinner multiple times each, and Remy dinner once. I loved the atmosphere at Remy, but did not care for the food at all. And we are no strangers to upscale cuisine (we loved Victoria and Albert's at the Grand Floridian). At Palo we loved both the atmosphere and the food. The lone exception to that was during our most recent Palo brunch when each guest had a crew member follow them around at the buffet who would serve the food to them. I found that to be incredibly uncomfortable and really ruin the whole feel of the brunch. That's why I skipped Palo brunch wile we were on the Fantasy this past summer and one of the reasons I'm not likely to go back. The other reasons are that on sea day, I really enjoy Cabanas for breakfast and lunch and you basically have to skip both to do Palo brunch properly.
Gosh we have had 5 brunches and never was served by a crew member through the line. But since the corona thing just started to break as story, and the Diamond was turned into a “prison” I appreciate Disney’s reaction to the problems out there. I’m guessing that will continue until virus goes away, like Ebola did. I’m thinking bad press right now is avoided at all cost.

Remy wine pairing. Can you add for just one person in your party? or do all members have to take if added?

You can do it individually - have done that multiple times when dining at Remy with my wife, who prefers not to drink that much wine. And they don’t mind if I share some of mine with her.

Remy is great but at 125 pp we are passing on it after 5 cruises. After factoring in gratuity and wine it comes to well over $500. Hard to justify those prices. They have just priced it out of consideration. Sorry Disney!

My wife and I have dined at Remy's twice now. The first time was at the $75 upcharge. This last time was at the $125. I think our total plus tip was about $400. We enjoyed our dining experience both time but we have decided that we would rather allocate that money moving forward to spa treatments :D . It's been a while since Palo for us. Last time quite a few years ago it was unremarkable. Maybe will try it again next time. We have done V&A twice and for our experience V&A was superior to anything we've had at Remy's. I guess it just depends on the courses.
