Hi
We are staying there in early June, can you pls share some recent experiences?

How construction has affected your stay?
are all the pools open? Activities for kids?

Is it better to use the boat to MK?
Going to Epcot, only bus?

Thanks

We stayed in January and construction had already started. It was really quiet and peaceful without a full house. Wish Trader Sams was open but we enjoyed having a QS, TS and Dolewhip window. Better than some resorts at the time. I think it’s likely more stuff will open there over the next month or two.
We loved taking the boat! One night coming back from MK we were out in the lagoon with Electric Water Pageant. So fun. It’s feels more relaxing than herding into the ferry or monorail lines.
The whole resort was calm. So even though it was missing some of the options it was a great experience. All the pools and hot tubs are open. We swam even tho it was chilly out. They warm the water off season. A CM even told me it was okay to swim in the Oasis pool 24hrs as long as you don’t bother anyone. Have a wonderful trip!

Hey were there any good drink options available for an evening cocktail on the beach?

We were there in April and got drinks at Tambu lounge and walked out and watched the Electric Water Pageant from the beach. I am hoping when we go back in June that the Trader Sams Tiki Terrace Bar will be open- not expecting the indoor bar to be open, but hoping the terrace bar will be- they could use another bar option at night.

And as for Epcot- when we wer there yes, only busses, but the boats from Poly, Monorail and ferry from the TTC were great to get to MK

We stayed at Poly in March and had a great time. No crowds made for a very quiet/peaceful vibe. There was still music/torches (some reported those things not being active earlier in the year). Good meals at Kona Cafe and Captain Cook's (as well as Dole Whips from the window).

The construction was limited to one end of the resort while we were there. We could see a little evidence of it when walking to Grand Floridian, but other than that, it wasn't disruptive at all (really barely noticeable to us). Lack of monorail stop was the biggest impact, but the TTC stop is as close to the DVC villas (just not as satisfying as boarding/exiting at the Poly).
