Any reason to ride AstroOrbiter, Dumbo, etc?

It's like what they say about real estate.......... location, location, location!

They might be carnival rides, but they are carnival rides INSIDE Disney. For me Dumbo has always been about it being right in the heart of Fantasyland nestled behind the castle.

Will it be the same once it's moved farther over into what is now Toontown? For me, probably not. It remains to be seen.

But yes, during Wishes is....... awesome!

That's a great picture!

We have done all of those rides, but not every trip. Now that DD16 and DS12 are older, they don't ask to ride on those, but they would if the lines were short. We went on AO once, and I can skip that. The line was terribly long, and someone got sick on the ride shortly before we were to load, so it was another long wait to, first, cover up the car with the problem, and then wait for someone to come and clean it. Bad memory! If the line were short, I would probably do it again, just for the fun of it.

DD and I rode AstroOrbiter during Wishes. WOW!!! AO is fun and the view is great.

Astro Orbiter is a must do, especially for the kids. Alladin we only ride if there is a minimum wait, and as for Dumbo we could take it or leave it. We rode Dumbo this past September because I really wanted to see over the construction walls, which of course we did, and we will probably be going on it again so I can see the progression of the new Fantasyland.

Some book, I'm not sure which, advised to not waste time with certain rides including Astro Orbiter, Aladdin, etc. under the theory that they are basically just carnival rides.

So, even after visiting Disney several times, I've never been on them.

Are these rides I really should do? Are there big fans out there?

This is so odd. This is only this user's second post and it's clearly a copy of another post. And the only other post they've done is also a copy of another post. :confused3:confused:

How in the world did you catch that? It is odd.

As for the question, these rides are definitely carnival rides. Pretty carnival rides in a neat location but still carnival rides.

We always had to ride Dumbo when DS was little but we've never been on the others. I have no plans to try them either.
