Any Reason Not to Bank Points Now?

Have my UY April 2020 points now. Not planning any vacation this year and uncertain about next year. Any reason not to bank them now?

Plans can change and there is no penalty for banking them later, so why not wait a bit?

Just remember if you bank early and change your mind, you are now limited to only borrow 50% of your contracts.

We do not know how long this change will be in place.

If your sure you won't vacation this year I say bank those points. The only reason not to bank now is if your not sure, you can only use 50% of next years points but again if you know you won't go this year banks away! I have already banked my points from 2019 into 2020 because I know I won't be there before Jan 2021.

Bank now if you know you’re not going incase the closures extend for a long time and DVC changes banking rules.

I banked my 2019 (December) points early - I could have waited until July. I was concerned that Disney might restrict banking at some point. As it turned out, they did restrict borrowing, but not banking.
