Any quick ways to get shareholders card quicker?

i bought my shares today, im just waiting on halifax to send me the letter comfirming it and all. I was thinking of faxing the letter and the application form, but if i were to call them up and say its on its way by fax etc, do you think they will sort it out quicker, and i will get my tempcard/card quicker??

Sorry if this sounds stupid, but im just super excited to have bought them, i just wanna go now haha

Yes, I would call them and explain the situation, before you fax the forms etc to them. I've always found the shareholders club CMs very helpful and accommodating, so fingers crossed for you getting your shareholders card or temporary letter quickly.

I will say though, whenever you call them to get a temporary letter, this will usually reach you within about 3 or 4 days of you contacting them.

would you know if they take debit cards? as on the application form i printed off today, it asked for a credit card number, so if i was using my debit card, would i just put the long number of the card on and just add a bit at the side with my sort code and account number?
sorry im totally new at this, only ever used my card on amazon before haha

You don't need to put your sort code and account number on there...just the long card number on the middle
When I bought mine two years ago I emailed them (after faxing my application) as I was due to go to DLP the following week. They had my temp card ready to collect from City Hall when I arrived
Just hoping my renewal goes as smoothly as I've posted that one

I don't have easy access to a fax machine so posted my application (although I did fill in the application online first). I posted it on a wednesday and received email confirmation including my membership number on the friday (yes 2 days later). I was very impressed!
My card followed a few weeks later - I certainly had the card well within a month of sending off the application so I really wouldn't worry.

Thats great but it does usually take about 6 weeks depending on how many applications have to be processed but the OP doesn't need to worry as its been stated they can get a temporary letter for the discounts

hehe i sent mine away today too, now lets see who gets theres first haha i called them up before i sent it, and asked for a temp card in the post. She also said that they could do one at saloon mickey for me too if i didnt have it in time. But i go on the 13th of june, so still 4 weeks to get it

I dont go in Disney till the 5th as we are at a KeyCamp for 3 nights first so we'll be leaving Disneyland on the 10th just before you!

When I get back you'll have it all to come! Its my first ever trip and Im so excited I already want to book a second trip hehe!

well its kinda like my first trip too, i went with the school in 2002 when i was 14, but being with a bunch of girls, we followed the boys around most of the time, so i cant remember much! ahh to be young and stupid!! lol you will have to come on when you get back and tell me everything, cant ewait to take my little one, he is just gonna love it!

i got the confirmation email today, so im in!!!

the woman on the phone said that if i didnt get the temp card in time, then when i get to the park, just to go to saloon mickey and they would print you one off there and then

well in my confirmation email, it had a number, like my own personal shareholder number, so you can qoute that, or just your name and address as they will have it on the system.
Or even print the confirmation email out, would be a good way too

i faxed them it at 2.35pm yesterday. but i called them this morning to see if they had got it, and she had to go through alot of forms ( thats what it sounded like) to find mine. she said that they had a lot to go through, so i said im needed mine soon, so she said that she would go do it the now. then she told me the thing about collecting a temp card at solon mickey if needed. When i came home from town this afternoon the email was there.

if you dont have an email from them by tomrrow lunch time, might best giving them a phone to speed things up. She never asked me when im going to DLP, so just mention that your traveling soon

Just in case anyone's interested, I received my confirmation email on April 13, and the temporary letter arrived a week later (I had asked them to send one when I applied).

My card hasn't arrived yet, but there's a fortnight to go before we travel, so I still have hope that I'll have it in my grubby paws to take with us. I just think it would be nicer to have the proper card, although I know the letter will do the job.
