Roscoe is going for surgery Fri. He is having a cyst removed from his eyelid. I'm a little nervous, but I trust my vet completely. Wish him luck.

Well as I sit here in tears it seems as thought my above post was quite prophetic. Yesterday we lost our beloved Daisy to cancer. We were blessed to have her for 11 years (her bday was just a day before she passed away). I can't really describe the loss I am feeling other than to use the word devastating. SHe gave us no signs of being ill at all until abt 24 hours before she died, but an xray revealed extensive cancer in her lungs. We will miss her alwaysand love her forever

Good Luck RoscoeI'm glad you have a good furbaby doctor!
He went to vet school with my husband's aunt. She was the first female graduate from that school. So he knows I ask her about everything he says.
Pug parties are a lot of fun! Enjoy this one!Pug Party in Chicago this weekend!
We've never had that problem with either of our pugs and I'm looking into rescuing another one now.My pug's breath is terrible and his teeth are impossible to clean both b/c he HATES getting it done and b/c the stuff just won't come out. I've bought and used the toothpaste and toothbrush but it doesn't get the gunk out. He also chews rawhides but those don't help either.
The vet said pugs teeth get so bad b/c they are such lickers (their own fur, my other dogs, his bed, our legs, anything) and crud gets stuck in their teeth.
He's already lost a couple of front bottom teeth and I don't want him to lose anymore--he's only 5.
Any suggestions?

Absolutely! Pugs are just either stubborn or stupid when it comes to getting that concept down.I am so happy I found this thread. Our pug, Poe, joined us about 3 weeks ago and I am shocked at how hard it's been to house train him, but also relieved that it's just the breed.

OMGosh, aren't these guys the CUTEST?! I thought all my fellow pug lovers would enjoy this video as ALL pugs do this and it's absolutely adorable when they do:
