Any Point to Getting Hopper?

We are going to be staying at AKV in February. We are trying to decide how many days we want to do. In the past, we have gotten the Park Hopper w/ waterpark option. However, given that the waterparks won't be open in March and they don't currently allow park hopping. I would assume that it would only make sense to get the base ticket.

Anything else I should consider?

If they do decide to allow park hopping at some point (doubtful), would it be easy to upgrade? I know it's easy to do it in the park, but if we are still beholden to COVID reservations, I would assume it would be hard to reserve to hop into a separate park.

I haven't kept up to date, but have there been any rumors / rumblings of offering an AP? If we're going for 6 days, I may be tempted to upgrade and plan a couple more trips.

Easy to do once you are there and decide you want the hoppers.

If you do have a hopper ticket and you go to guest relation, they will refund th difference. Just make sure you do this on your last park day after you enter the park; they said it might cancel reservations if the refund was done sooner

I can't even believe they would sell a park hopper right now seeing how they have no idea when it will be valid. The difference between already existing hoppers was never refunded.

Guest relations in Disney Springs told a couple of people I was with to do it on their last day. I know their computer system was behaving badly during our 9/12-9/19 trip. Kidani had issues with our checkin and our magic bands as well as the app stopped working the night of checkin going back to our villa.
