and . I have dealt with having a baby in the hospital while my husband was TDY and I know that it's no fun. I hope that everything is o.k. I will say a prayer for your family.
Hi guys,
Hopefully this makes sense as I am running on fumes now. I wanted to check in with ya'll for the update. First, thanks for all the prayers and thoughts, it was needed these past few days. Without going into alot of detail, Remy was acting very destructive to herself (she placed a plastic bag over her head, cut off all her hair (seriously it is less than an inch long all over and actually bald in places), and some other serious things). I didn't know what to do and ended up calling her pediatrician who had me take her to the hospital. Long story short, they were afraid she would hurt herself and made me leave her there. I swear my heart broke. My girls have never even spent the night anywhere without me and needless to say I got no sleep that night. This morning, they sent her to a clinic that specializes in children with problems and after meeting with a bunch of doctors they let me take her home. They said they get alot of military children in with similar issues and Remy will be starting therapy soon. I will be watching her like a hawk for a long time after this. I did get ahold of Dh and he is very upset and blaming himself for being gone so much. He is coming home on Sat. and we will meet with a councelor to sort some things out. I am just really tired and emotionally drained right now. I wanted to thank ya'll again for the Pms and posts sharing your support and kindness. I don't know when I will have time to DIS again, but wanted to update ya'll in case it is awhile.
How terrifying for you! The poor little thing must just be a mess. Hopefully it's a simple issue like missing her daddy. It's good that you recognized that she needed help and got it for her.
Best of luck to you. I'm a big believer in counseling at the first sign of problems. I'm sure having her Dad away so much must be stressful for both of you!
