Any Pict's of BCV dedicated 2bd?

BCV is my home, and I've stayed in 2 bedrooms, but only lock offs. I stayed in VWL dedicated 2 bd and like the layout in the 2nd bedroom. What are BCV dedicateds like?

I know there was a thing about the couch vs. queen beds. Are there 2nd bedrooms with 2 queens? and pictures? How about pictures of the difference between lock off vs. dedicated at BCV?

Thanks to any willing to help. I'm trying to plan a trip w/ Dh's family.

I may have pictures, but I am not sure. We ALWAYS request the dedicated 2BR and stay at BCV (home resort). There is slightly more room in the 2nd BR, because there is no 2nd mini fridge, etc. This helps us, as we have an Aerobed in there as well (teens will not share beds!) There is more than one set up though........ one has the doos to 2nd BR off the foyer. The other has the door to 2nd BR off the living room. The living room layout is less desirable for us, as we use the pull out couch in the LR each night, and when that bed is opened up, it is hard to get in and out of that 2nd BR without climbing on or squeezing by that open couch.

We request the door in the foyer setup now......... but either way, is ok. (We love BCV, no complaints) We like the dedicated, one less couch to open up each night. (4 teens in family)

When you've had these rooms have you had the 2 queens in the second bdrm or the queen and couch? I'd love the 2 queens of DH's family but hoping it is not too cramaped. We had this at VWL and it seemed ok. As you said the room seems to have more space - the bathroom area was larger because of no hallway enterance. Is the BCV dedicated the same?

If you could find some pictures I'd love it. There seems to be none posted anywhere that I could find! Thanks for helping.

Interesting.... I didn't know this. Were these rooms pool view near the center of the building? From the floor plans it looks like there are a couple dedicated 2 bedrooms with a door through the living room that are at the bends in the building; x54 and x34. Maybe a handicapped room as well. Are there others?

Hi Tammy,

I'm not sure if you are aware of this or not, but the three different 2 bedroom villas are room types that are reserved. So when you make your ressies you will know if you have; 2 queens or not, a lock-off or not.
They are:
25 dedicated 2 bedroom villas with 2 queens in the second bedroom
53 dedicated 2 bedroom villas with a queen and pull-out sofa bed (sz?) in the 2nd bdrm.
74 lock-off 2 bedroom villas with queen/full pull-out sofa, kitchette and seperate entrance.

As you can see there are very few with the 2 queens in the second bedroom and they get reserved quickly. That is one of the nice things about owning at BCV it the ability to reserve at the 11 month window and have a greater chance of getting one.

Ditto to what Lisa said about getting the 2BR with 2Q beds in the 2nd bedroom. We waitlisted at 7 months (when we made our ressie), but weren't able to get one on our trip in 2004.

We did learn an interesting tidbit about the 2BR's and how BCV was built. It turns out that the 2BR units (or at least our dedicated 2BR unit) has the circuit breaker panel for not only that room, but for the next two or three units down the hallway. So if your neighbor pops a circuit breaker in the middle of the night, don't be surprised if maintenance knocks on your door and has to come into the master bedroom closet to reset a breaker for one of your neighbors. It didn't happen to us, but it has happened.

Sorry, but we didn't take any pictures of our dedicated 2BR either.

As you can see without the door and kitchenette you gain another closet and sink as well as a bit more floor space. We found the area near the bathroom sinks to be rather large for the room size. (For us we found space lacking in the dining area)

Wow - I didn't realize how lucky we were to get a dedicated 2 bdr with 2 queens for our recent trip. I didn't ask for one (didn't even realize I could) and reading this thread now I see how lucky we were.

We don't own at BCV and I made the reservations day by day at the 7 month window.

Lisa, thanks for the info and the floor plans. It's helpful to see the extra closet space in the 2nd bdr. Looks like I'll book this 11 months out day by day! (Thanksgiving 06)

Still love to see pictures...anyone? I wonder if they would let me see one quick while I'm there in August, hmmm.

These are not requests. They are room types that are reserved when you make your reservation. The CM might not have told you which one they reserved for you at the time and it doesn't always say (2 Q's or Q/sofa) on the confirmation. Give MS a call they will tell you which one you have!

I didn't realize this question had been asked so resently, I didn't come across that thread when I searched.

Still hoping to see the bathroom/closet/connecting doors....

I was asked when I made my reservation for this August if I wanted 2 Q or a sofabed in the second bedroom and I picked 2 Q's. I love the fact that you know ahead of time.

Divamom- I'm glad they are asking. When will you be at BCV? We will be at BWV 8/10-12 and BCV 8/14-21.

We being me, DH, DS(8) and DD(7 going on 17) also my friend, her DH, DS(8) and DD(3)
