What was it like?
Do you remember your menu?
What is the price?
Did you take children? If so, what was their reaction?
Would you do it again? Why or why not?

Any info would be appreciated.

We have enjoyed it twice and are anxious to do it again.

It is now held at Signals at the Beach House with a great view of the ocean while dining. Gordon is a wonderful host and execellent chef. There are several options on the menu and gordon is willing to work with any other suggestions.

Here is another thread with information about <a href="http://198.64.133.85/showthread.php?s=&threadid=204261&highlight=Private+Affair">A Private Affair.</a>

Enjoy!

We did A Private Affair this past April. We were charged $50 a person. There is a minimum charge of $150, I think. There were 4 of us, so that did not matter. Our children came with us, but did not do the dinner. We got them lunchables (a rare treat for them). They are 11, 8, and 5, and somewhat picky eaters. The two oldest played ping-pong (we could see them from where we were), and I brought a new sticker book for my 5 year old to keep her occupied while we ate.

The dinner was one of the most memorable events we've had. Make sure you get the crabcakes. Chef Gordon was wonderful. He even gave the kids ice cream while we ate dessert.

We had " A Private Affair" in June. We had a large group (9) of adults. The kids went to kids night out - the detective thing. We saw them when they came to the beach house to investigate. Chef Gordon was very accomodating of our groups likes/dislikes. We had the wonderful crab cakes/salads, bruchetta, shrimp/scallops/tilapia and filets served with rice and vegetables, fruit/angel cake with various sauces to dip in. There was more food than I could eat. We had a great time. Chef Gordon is the best.:Pinkbounc

ditto to what benhannah's mom said. I was with her! It was wonderful. The food was great and you can't beat being served a gourmet meal by the ocean.

A couple of questions: How far in advance do you need to book this? Do you also give the chef a gratuity? Is it charged to the room, or do you pay him directly?

Thanks!
