Any other ways to earn SWA Rapid Rewards?

Maybe I missed this as I have been scrolling through a few boards, but do points from e-rewards count towards the companion pass?
Yes! Except for there may have some introductory ones that didn't but the rest of the ones that I have earned from taking surveys have. You can only cash out every 30 days.

Awesome, thanks! We are working hard towards the companion pass. Hoping for the Plus card offer with 50,000 points to come around again soon as that will help us get there much quicker.

There is a website forum that you can go to to get a Plus referral. I guess individuals that have a Plus card receive referral opportunities. That is what I did for DH. I had a referral in about 10 minutes. The telephone process was a nuisance but worth it for the 50k. I wish I could remember the website. It may be in this message string somewhere.

Woohoo! We literally just hit companion pass status! I have been stalking DH's Rapid Rewards all day since I knew it was the magic day that our Plus closed. Already set DS up as the companion. Now where can we fly to...

Congratulations and thanks for the advice. Will look for the referral offer and hopefully if we get one we won't be too far behind! We some trips coming up later this year we would love to have it for.

Thanks! I believe it was on flyer talk. I had to create an account to use the site.

Silly question...I haven't even applied for a SW card yet (plan to within the next couple days) but have a rr account. To get to companion pass level, should I be waiting to cash in my e-rewards $$ for points until I actually get approved for the card? Or does it even matter, since the account just needs the 110,000 points?

You can cash them in now since it's your RR's balance that needs to hit 110k. The Visas just help you get there quicker with the sign-up bonuses.

I think it depends which product you pick to have a free trial of.

Try this:
  • While you're logged into your SW account, go to the RR Shopping Portal (https://rapidrewardsshopping.southwest.com).
  • Search for "Quickbooks," and click "Shop Now."
  • Sign up for a Free Trial of a product - I picked "Quickbooks Online Simple Start." You shouldn't have to give any credit card information; you merely give name and email (it doesn't have to match the email address on your SW account).
  • Within ~2 weeks, you should have 700 points automatically deposited in your Rapid Rewards points, and they're CP eligible points!

Does this still work? I can't find the QuickBooks thing. I get Wal-Mart, Macys and a bunch of other stuff when I search for QuickBooks. Maybe I'm too late to the party.

No, I don't believe it's available any more (unfortunately). It looks like they've pulled a number of their profitable offers.

I've tried a number of the free trials through SWRR Shopping Portal - Sittercity, Texture, CBS All Access, Shoprunner to see if I would earn points. None of them posted the points until my actual paid subscription started.

Well.... it appears that DS may be choosing a college in Philadelphia.... and since SWA flies from Philly to Manchester, NH (our home airport) I will DEFINITELY be continuing to look for ways to bulk up my SWA RR Visa! So keep those suggestions, ideas, and offers comingl!! ......P

Do you have both personal SW CCs? Both the Plus and Premier are currently offering a 50k sign-up bonus (with $2k spend within 3 months).

For those of you who earn miles on erewards, do you think it would matter if I redeem points for DH's rapid rewards account? Mine currently has the credit card attached to it, so DH's account isn't regularly earning points. I'd love to put the points I earn on my erewards account toward his rapid rewards account so I don't have to worry about his points expiring. We are going to Hawaii this summer, so won't be using SW. Not sure when we'll be flying again, so I just want to make sure we don't have an issue with expiring points.
