Hi there--

We are heading to WDW in January, and I think we've planned for a pretty economical trip.

We're staying off-site, great deal, two bedroom condo.

We are going to three parks and are getting in one for free one day b/c of a CM that's also a friend, and my DH is getting in free to one park the day after the marathon. Our kids will be 20 months, so they are free.

We will eat breakfasts and some dinners at our condo. Most likely lunches will be out.

We are AAA members, do they usually offer discounts?

What else could we do/am I missing to make the trip even more affordable?

Tips appreciated! :)

www.mousesavers.com has some great tips and codes for saving on a rental car if you need to rent one. Sometimes www.restaurant.com has good deals on gift certificates for local restaurants. When you are in the Orlando area, pick up the coupon books that you can find at local restaurants and businesses. You might be able to find a coupon for a local restaurant.
Good luck.

Bring a water bottle (and drink mix packs if you want, like Crystal Light).

For the meals not at your condo and while walking around, you can get free cups of ice water at counter service places and also fill up the bottle at water fountains.

For my small family of 2, this saves about $25 - $30 per day....figuring for approximately 12 drinks: a drink at each meal plus one mid-morning, one mid-afternoon, one after dinner. At least. If it is really hot it could be more.

Most sodas and bottle water are around $2.50.
