Just popping in to say hi...

I am back on BCPs...looks like I will start stims on the 28th. I truly hope this protocol will be better & produce more follicles. I am actually tired of myself :rotfl2:

Hope evreyone is doing well!!!

Allison--Girl, I am right there with you! If I could fly down to LA and give you a personal hug I would. I feel like a complete you know what about my "I hate all pregnant ladies" feelings when they come.

I am not a very open person, so sharing my pain and frustration over this process is difficult for me. Everyone at work kept asking me when we were having kids and one day, (after I had my first lap that found my tube was blocked) someone asked and I just started sobbing and blurted out, "I can't have kids, OK?!?!" It's surprising 1) how understanding people can be and 2) how much respect being the office psycho can get you :-) So after that I just told all my friends (and they all live far away too), hey this is what we're dealing with, I don't really want to talk about it, but I am glad to know that you are all here. But then that sort of backfired as one of my friends didn't tell me about her pregnancy.

Anyway, your call if you want to share, but I think your friend will understand--heck she may have had difficulties you didn't even know about. Remember, it's about friendship. I tend to get into this competitive mindset, where I'm like, if they can do it, I should be able to. But then I have to remind myself it's not a competition (my issue, not saying this is yours).

Take your time with this.

Kristy--Good Luck Saturday!!

Rebecca--I can't wait until you are posting pics of u/s and new baby!

Gurgi--No AF for you! Ward off that witch!

As for me, I am still spotting--do not ask me what this is all about. I have never spotted in my entire life. CD 31-AF due anytime now. I have RE appt. Friday. I am nervous. What should I expect?

Allison  I know what that is like not to have that may close friends near by. Many of mine have moved away and only recently have I become better friends wth a few people. I do wish I could fly down and give you a hug myself. Since your friends are further away, I think waiting a month to talk to them isn't a bad idea. Hopefully then you will have more "stuff" to talk about as well.

Kristy, Chelle & Kristine all the best with the upcoming procedures!!!!!!

Gurgi, no AF, no AF no AF ;)
I don't want to give false hope but all that sounds promising :)

Rebecca, depending on where the hair goes "gray" I have either silver, white or clear hair. The more blonde, the lighter it is. I have worried myself endlessly the last 8 months or so... so yeah, try not to worry. And in the end, worrying doesn't change anything anyway ;)

Good gosh, I haver cramps. They hurt! I don't know if AF is gonna show early or what, but they're putting me into a cranky mood :headache:

I went and chopped off ALL of my hair tonight. I had shoulder length hair about 2 weeks ago, and wanted my hair to look like Mandy Moore's in this pic:

mm.jpg

My hairdresser cut my hair to chin length and I HATED it. She talked me into trying it. I have very fine, very unruly hair when it's too short to go into a ponytail, so I got sick of it within 2 days. I finally gave up and went to my friend's hairdresser, and got it all cut off.

Please keep in mind that:

1) It's hot as Hades here right now, and the humidity has made me shiney and I've broken out like I was in high school again

2) I pushed my bangs outta the way, so they don't look like MM's tonight

3) The second pic I took off my makeup and put my eye cream and zit cream on, so I look SUPER DUPER scary!

newdo2.jpg

...I'm warning you, it's even worse than the first! I even have a snaggletooth goin' on!
newdo1.jpg

I like the 'do. It's nice and cool for the summer.

Now, if the massive breakouts and the cramps would go away, I'd be a little happier.:rolleyes1 But if it means NO AF, I'd go with a pizza face and back breaking cramping for the next 9 months!

Gurgi, your hair looks great on you! I could never go that short...my hair is naturally very curly and that short would probably look like I had a fro! LOL! I do need to get a cut, though, and I think you may have inspired me to hurry up and do that!

Good luck with the rest of your 2WW! I hope you receive good news this month!

GypsySue...LOL! I don't think I'm the office psycho...yet! NO AF for you!! Maybe you won't even need that RE appt on Friday! :goodvibes

Elaine, thanks again. I do think waiting until after my August appt to talk to my friends will be the best thing. Right now, all I can say is that we're having problems, no idea exactly why, and don't know where we're headed. HOpefully in August I'll get some tests run and then hopefully start on some sort of new TTC adventure. I think actually having that stuff to talk about will be a lot better for me and them. I can focus on the course of action, not just the sadness and hopelessness I've been feeling since the chemical pregnancy.

Tonight we're going see a drum corps show. DH and DS are SO excited! LOL! Hopefully it doesn't rain. DS just LOVES going see the marching bands....I know he's counting down the days until football season so that we can start going to DH's highschool games! Elaine...I think you asked a while back about DH's band. He's a highschool band director and in Feb he's taking the band to WDW. They will be doing this program with disney where they go into a recording studio and record music to go with a disney movie like they do in real life. DH is really excited about that. Should be a lot of fun for the kids! Much better than just going over there to march in a parade or play a concert.

Sue (Beth is it?) I was tired yesterday and forgot to say, you are right how understanding people are. I snapped at someone after she made an insensitve comment too and boy did the attitude change (in a good way). I doubt you're a psycho though. Good luck with the spotting and everything. I've only spotted while on BCP (part of why I went off) so no help there

Gurgi, that is a super cute cut and looks great on you! Isn't it amazing how off hair stylists can be with what is good for your hair? I have a lot of hair... the hair itself may be silky and not thick, but put it all together nad I have a LOT of hair. One said I had super fine hair (just because it is soft and silky) and cut it for that. You can imagine the disaster of frizz I got.
No AF! No AF! No AF! ;) My fingers are still crossed for you

Allison, I think you are probably right about having a course of action. I got to be better friends with someone at church after my miscarriage. She then told me she has been trying for (at that time) almost a year and a half. We got to talking and I started asking her questions. She realized here doc was a doofus and wasn't taking her seriously. So now she has a new doc, a nice script for Clomid for 100mg and has a plan of action to follow through with. She seems to like being in control and knowing they are now really working on everything. She obviously doesn't know the outcome, but it makes it so much better for her. I hope it really does the same for you!
As for all the band stuff. Are you going to see a DCI show? If so I love that organization and have a few favorites :teeth: Very cool that your DH's band gets to record music like that! Definitely MUCH better than playing in a parade and having a concert. Though as a teen, it was awesome to do that still. I hope they all have a blast doing it!

I better get moving. I have to clean out my car and get in teh shower to meet a friend who is coming in for the day.

I remember seeing pictures of you now! I like the cut. I need a new one but I don't know what to do with it. I'd like something with long (ear length or so) bangs and slightly longer hair, but I don't have a good picture of anything like that

Gurgi: I LOVE the new do!!!! I had a cut similar to that once and loved it. My problem is that my hair grows super fast and I was getting a hair cut every 2 weeks just to maintain it. I hope your cramps ease up :goodvibes

Elaine: Have fun visiting with your friend today.

Allison: I know that having a plan of attack really helped me...but I'm OCD like that

Well back to the :laundy: for me.......

Baby Dust :wizard: and NO AF!!! NO AF!!! NO AF!!!

Again, I do apologize for the scary pics ;) I look washed out without makeup. I'll take nicer ones this weekend when we go out to WDW again.

Well, still having those cramps mainly on my lower left side. Very..umm...gassy, and a LOT of cm. I'm not sure what's up. :confused3 I have major super fingers crossed...but DH and I decided that if it does happen soon, then we're keeping our mouths shut for a little bit.

I'm home and awake after my retrieval. I should be receiving a phone call around 3 or 4 stating how many mature eggs I have for fertilization. Then tomorrow morning they'll call with the results of how many actually fertilized. :woohoo:

Gurgi I love the cut on you. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you.

Rebecca have fun with your laundry ;)

Gurgi, they were not scary pictures at all! I will keep my fingers crossed for you... and I don't blame you for keeping your mouth shut for a while either. We didn't even tell family until I was almost 14 weeks along.

Kristy, been thinking good thoughts for you today. I hope they call with great news!

I did have fun with my friend. I'm now tired... but we indulged in Californai Pizza Kitchen and Godiva (yum)

Kristy - I am keeping my fingers crossed for good results. :wizard: It's 3:30, any news yet?

Gurgi - I love your hair cut. I think women who are brave enough to get a short hair cut must be very confident in themselves. (I hope that came out right) :goodvibes Keeping my fingers crossed for you, too. But I need to know ... when you say you aren't going to tell anyone for a while, do you mean us, too?

Well, AF isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Anyone else want to tack theirs on to mine - I can take it. :lmao:

I read the CLOMID thread this morning, and have been pretty surprised at how many people have taken it / had used assisted reproductive techniques. I wonder if there are statistics somewhere as to what percentage of the general population needed help. I wish more people would talk about their experiences - it really helps to know someone else is going through the same things.

Allison - how did it go today? Did you talk to your friend?

Beth - RE appointment. You can expect the doctor to order blood tests for you and tests for your DH (they asked DH to provide a sample while we were there) if you haven't already done them. They might do an exam, and they will talk at length about your cycle. If you have been temping and charting, they will review it. My RE was able to tell right away I was not ovulating. If you have not been temping / charting, they will show you how and tell you what to look for. They will explain their philosophy, and if you have already had much of the above done, will explain a plan of attack. MAKE SURE YOU WRITE DOWN AS MANY QUESTIONS AS YOU CAN THINK OF BEFORE YOU GO, and don't feel badly about taking up so much of their time. It is what they are there for.

They will have lots of brochures and information you might want to bring home and look at - but don't freak out about them!

Our RE's office's waiting room used to be (maybe still is) the same waiting room used by OB/GYN. It was tough sometimes! I felt really bad when it was my turn to use the OB side, especially when I showed up for appointments with an infant when I was pregnant with #2. I always wanted to reach out and hug those women, tell them my story, and offer them some hope and a shoulder.

I am bored at work tonight. DH is taking the kids to get their hair cut tonight, and I need to go to the grocery store to get something for dinner. It is pouring.

My RE said that he doesn't push Clomid and tries to find out other reasons FIRST.. For example... if he gives me the dostinex to lower my prolactin and my progesterone rises by itself, then that's all he's going to do. If not, he will do the clomid. He said "there's an 8% chance of having twins with clomid and a 1% of having triplets" :scared1:
well this is what my RE is having me do...
5 blood tests, temp charting, Ovulation sticks, progesterone test 7dpo. And the strict rule to NOT GET PREGNANT right now...

Update:

I had 4 mature eggs and all four have been ICSI'd. Now we have to wait till tomorrow morning to see if all 4 fertilized :cheer2: :cheer2:

Thank you all for the prayers and good thoughts and support. Believe me I know I've been an emotional, stressed out basket case the last two weeks!!!

Right now I'm just relaxing and believing that God will do his magic from this point on.

Elaine...glad you had a good day out :) Godiva yummmmmmmmmmmm

I have not read the Clomid thread. I'll have to check it out. I know a lot of ladies who've been on it though.

Kristy--Yeah on the retrieval! I hope the fertilization goes well.

Gurgi--WAY cute haircut!!

Denae, thanks for the lowdown on the RE.

Well, AF showed today. Just in time for my RE appt. Bleh.
