Yeah, when I was pregnant with Kylie they told me I could just keep taking the OTC prenatals then too. It wasn't until about halfway through the pregnancy when I was borderline anemic that they started prescribing me something because it had more iron in it. They also started me on iron pills on top of that. That's why I am just going with the OTC for now too. No sense in me paying more for prescription prenatals till I have to, right? ;)

Darn filters at work! Sorry Rebecca, I can't see it, but by the sound of everyone's replies I'm gonna say CONGRATULATIONS!

I'm gonna get my blood test done tomorrow morning. I probably won't know the results until next week.

They will be checking for the HCG hormone as well as another test to find out why I missed should I not be pregnant.

Hi Ladies

Quick post cause I am running around crazy at work since I leave for vacation to Vegas tomorrow!!

Hugs to all in the 2ww!!

Good luck to the IVF girls!!

REBECCA -- that is most definately a dark and beautiful line!! Yeah!! I am so so happy for you...I knew your time would come -- you have been so patient and I have been so routing for you! Can't wait to hear the results of your blood test.

I will be back next Sunday July 15th and I anxiously await to hear about a whole slew of new BFPs by then!!

Thinking of your girls!!

Hugs,
Nicole

Congrats, Rebecca - I got chills when I saw that line. It is definitely there. Let's hope this is the first BFP of many!

Kristy - Good news. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I hope I'm not jinxing myself with the ticker but I have waited so long to have one. :goodvibes And I couldn't stand it I went and bought the EPT kind and just did another test...BFP...and a little darker this time!!!!

Thanks again for all the congrats and support you guys have given me. You will never know how much being able to talk with you all has helped me  I hope everyone gets their BFP's soon!!!!!

Kristy: It would be cool to have your ER on the day you and your DH met :goodvibes Grow little follies grow!!!!!!

Thanks, Val, Elaine, and Pollito. I was thinking that the prenatal would be enough but wanted to make sure. I am only planning to take OTC ones for now so I will just have to check the folic acid in it and see. Thanks again!

Good luck, Kristy! I have had my fingers crossed for you for a long time. I remember talking to you on the moms-to-be thread a couple years ago and I know you were trying back then. I think it's high time you get your little miracle. :)
I just thought I'd pitch in and say that my doctor told me not to go on prenatals at all, just to take 2 folic acid pills a day and leave it at that. She said that was all I really needed. I don't take a normal multi-vitamin or anything. She just said there wasn't any need till after the BFP to take more. As always, YMMV, but I've been following that advice. I'm loving the tiny size of the folic acid pills!!

Well the Dr. just called with my HCG number.....61.9!!!!! I'm to go in on Monday am for another blood test to see if my numbers are increasing.

Nicole: Have a great time in Vegas!!! I hope it cools down a little for you. You must give us details! It has been about 4 years since I've been there so I'm sure a lot has changed.

Anyway...have fun!!! :thumbsup2

FWIW, my doc said I didn't even need to worry about pre-natals while TTC as long as I took a woman's one a day. When she last asked I told her my one a day (I've taken them forever so not a big deal) was killing my stomach so she suggested the cocktail of pills since I am used to taking a one a day until I could go back to the one a day. She feels a lot of the regular vitamins are just as good as the pre-natals... which when you look at the amounts she is is right, they are usually pretty close. She told me I can keep at whatever I want as long as I meet her minimum folic acid requirement. Look around at pills though, I found a folic acid with 800mcg and only need one.
I have to admit, I love my gummy vitamins anyway ;)

Rebecca I am so thrilled for you!!!!!!! Fingers crossed that you see a nice increase come Monday

Kristy I also have my fingers crossed for you. How cool if you could get it to be the same day.

Good Morning girls. Last night I found a lump on my breast. It is towards the breast bone but it has me really worried. It seems to only pop up when I am lying down. It would be when my underwire would end. I am going to call my dr on Monday. I hate waiting for the weekend.

You must be so stressed :guilty:. I hope it turns out to be nothing.

If it makes you feel any better, I had the same thing about a month ago. It was sorta under my left arm, but hit the underwire on the bra... It hurt really bad and took about 3 weeks to go away. I'm sure it's nothing...

Happy Sunday!

We went in today for monitoring and after all the worrying about all the little folicles that were growing, it turns out that only one KEPT growing. That little bugger is 17.8 mm now, so I have to go in tomorrow and they are going to check me again. He said he THINKS that I will do the trigger either tomorrow night or Tuesday and the IUI after that. Whee!

I was sort of hoping for two little folicles at least, but at least there is something and I guess that it only takes one!

Does anyone remember about how long the appt for the IUI is? I know my husband goes in to 'do his thing' two hours before I do but how long should I expect to be there for the IUI? I am trying to decide if I should arrange child care for my daughter or if it will be quick enough that I don't need to bother. They did a 'practice' one before we got started and that was pretty quick but I'm not sure what else is involved in the IUI, so I am not sure of the timing.

I was in and out in 20 minutes.....

the longest part was waiting for the lab to bring down the syringe....we were told to come back in an hour...it took more like an hour & a half....

GOOD LUCK!!!!!! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

LisaB hope everything turns out ok and that it's nothing to worry about  .

Well, I went for the blood work yesterday. The phelbotomist (sp?) said I would know by mid week (keeping my fingers crossed that it's positive).
