Hi everyone! It looks like there are a lot of bfps around here, so I'm hanging out more so you can rub it off on me! lol Congrats to those pregnant! This marks a year of trying for me.

Those who are pregnant: share your crazy tips! I'm desperate! lol It only took 4 months with my son, and that was back in 2000, so I didn't do anything too crazy. Just charted. I've been charting, and my cycles are exactly 25 days every month. DH has already been checked, he's post chemo and surgeries and he's fine. So hmmmm...... I'm stumped.

TTC still? Let's open a bottle of wine and sulk! :grouphug:

I don't have any crazy tips for you, but just wanted to say welcome and do stick around. These ladies have the touch! :thumbsup2 It only took one cycle for me to get pregnant. I'm 37, going to be 38 this July. I'll send plenty of baby dust your way! :wizard: :wizard:

Hi all...

Meredith -- just wanted to say congrats on the awesome egg retrieval -- you must have a wonderful donor -- she truly is the easter bunny!!! I am sending you pixie dust for a great fert report!! At least you have some room to play with -- we only got 7 eggs from our donor - I was heartbroken - but 6 of 7 were mature and all 6 fertilized and all 6 grew so we transferred 2 and I have 4 on ice!

With your numbers -- you will have a baseball team or two on ice after your transfer!! I am so happy for you!

I forgot to ask you - what clinic are you using? How are the progesterone shots going? The best advice I got post transfer was to stay horizontal and laying down for at least 48 hours but more if you can do it - only get up to pee -- also keep a blanket on your belly to keep it warm and toasty -- and eat fresh pineapple including the core -- the core is the most important part - it is hard and doesn't taste great but it is supposed to help with implantation -- and lastly - drink lots and lots of water - 96 oz if you can!!

Good luck!!!! I am thinking about you!!

************

Sounds like everyone else is doing good!

Elaine - thanks for the Steph update - I feel so bad for her - she has been through alot.

Rebecca - have a drink for me!

Welcome Princess Pooh - this is a great group of knowlegable supportive ladies - glad to have you aboard!

Skuttle -- I am so sorry you are surrounded by so many pregnant women - I know how heartbreaking that is when you are trying yourself. You have to take this as a positive sign though that there is alot of pregnancy pixie dust around you and some is going to fall on you soon!!

Thinking of everyone - sorry if I did not do a personal shout out to you today! But you know I am thinking of you....

Happy Easter ladies.

Hugs,
Nicole

Meredith, congrats on the retrieval! I hope you get a great report. The waiting is so hard. I remember showing up to my transfer for IVF #1 and I asked, "Are they all still alive?!" That a great number of eggs....you should have lots of nice embryos.

I finally got my lights back from the storm yesterday. It got down to 55 degrees in my house. Plus, I have a well, so no lights, no water......force flushing a toilet is big fun when you're over 7 months pregnant. I was about 15mns away from going to a hotel when they came back on.

My neighbor traded us fresh eggs from his chickens and fresh maple syrup from his maple trees for DH plowing his driveway. :thumbsup2

Okay, so here is the update...out of 28 eggs, I guess some mature, some not, we got 14 embryos..a great number!!! Yay! They will transfer 2 on Sunday. Nicole, progesterone is going good, not nearly as painful as i had built up in my mind. our clinic is Duke Medical Center in Durham, NC. This is appx 2 hours from home in Wilmington. We are stayong wiht my mom who lives in Raleigh, about 20 minutes from the clinic. We are staying through Monday evening, as DH has to work Tuesday. I am planning to be back at work Wednesday as of right now, but will talk to doctors when we do the transfer. I do plan on lying down, even in the car until I go back to work Wednesday. I work in a daycare with Toddlers (12-24 months). I plan on taking it a bit easy for the next couple of weeks, and hopefully my two assistant teachers will do the cleaning and stuff until we know more about our BFP status and what the doctors say too. anyway thanks for all the support and advice.

Denise, love the Avatar and siggie stuff!!!

Meredith

Well I got my results back from my progesterone test...not good...12.4. Should be 15 and over for a medicated cycle. I guess I won't be pregnant on my 30th b-day afterall :sad1:

Dr. will call monday to let me know what she wants to do as a next step. I want to stay on 50mg of Clomid with follicle u/s and progesterone supplement. I hope I get what I want. I'm afraid to go to 100mg of clomid without knowing how many follicles I am producing.

I hope everyone has a great easter!!!!

I'm not TTC, but I check out this thread sometimes when I see it on page 1. For some reason, I feel compelled to comment today.

I just want to say that it gives me a great feeling to see the pregnancy tickers in some of your siggies. Congratulations to those of you who are expecting. I bet you will be awesome moms because you want this so much. To those of you still TTC, I hope you get your own miracles soon.

I think it's wonderful that you all have this thread where you can support each other on this journey.

Well, that's all.

Meredith...Good luck on Sunday!

Rebecca...I'm so sorry! Hopefully your Dr. will come up with something that both of you can agree on.

Carla...It's so funny to see you describe yourself as over 7 months pregnant!! Seems like just yesterday you told us your wonderful news! :goodvibes

Elaine..you are so sweet to think of all of us girls still waiting for that BFP. It is so wonderful to hear success stories, but it still stings a bit when it's not you. You've been there, so I know you understand. I'm sure before long you'll be just like Carla...describing yourself as over 7 months pregnant and I'll be thinking "Wow, really?!?" :thumbsup2

Denae- I haven't seen a doctor yet. I have done home ovulation tests a few times, and they come up as ovulating right when I think I am. I know it only detects the lh surge, though. I think I'm going to give it a few more months of really trying before seeing the doc. Sometimes it's hard to schedule the bd since I work nights.

Welcome Shari- I would check with your doctor before substituting Flintstone vitamins for prenatal. I know you can take 2 to replace a regular multivitamin, but prenatal vitamins are compounded a little differently.

Thanks to all those who had a drink with me! I feel better.

Dh friend came over earlier, and said they were pregnant with number 2. It's just hard for me to be excited for other people, as selfish as it sounds. Esp after he said they'd been trying a while now, I asked how long and he said a few months! :sad2: I just looked at dh and said we need to try harder!

Hugs to all of you. :grouphug:

I'm 10DPO today, and usually AF shows between 10DPO and 12DPO...no sign of her yet, and my temp is still up. My temps on the chart made a lovely increase for the first 9 days - spent a few days at 97.5, then a couple at 97.8, then up to 98.0, then a couple at 98.2 - but today it dipped to 98.0 and I had to attempt to be rational and say "it's not a huge drop, don't freak out, and it's not the end of the world if it drops again tomorrow...". I'm dying to test tomorrow morning so I could say "look what I got for Easter!", but I hate to waste the test (I'm such a cheapskate) ;) . We'll see...I guess if my temp goes back up or stays steady tomorrow I'll probably break down and test anyway. :) My PMS is way milder this month than usual, so who knows what that means. :confused3 Hoping some of the BFP's around here lately will have rubbed off on me...

Well, I tested last night and it was a BFN. :guilty: I am hoping it was just too early. AF should be here by the 10th, so I will be waiting until the 11th to test again. I had no regular PMS symptoms, but I am SO tired and still queasy. I don't feel like eating anything, but if I don't I feel sick.

Elaine, my cycles is normally about 44 days, but then in Jan. it started after 33 days. It wasn't a "normal" cycle for me (meaning that I had none of the usual symptoms). The next cycle was 54 days, but think it had to do with Jan. being messed up. My doctor said that I'm fine. I am not interested in doing anything "above and beyond" to get pregnant, so if it doesn't happen naturally, I will accept that.

ImarriedGrumpy, lots of :wizard:

Have a Happy Easter Everyone!

Happy Easter and Passover!

I'm hoping everyone is doing well this weekend :)

IMG... I can hardly wait.. test already!! I understand what you mean about being a cheapskate though, I can completely relate! I have one OPK stick left and I am thinking to myself, wow, I wonder If it will keep till the next time I am TTC ;) My guess is not, but I sure hate ot see it go to waste!

Things here are chugging along fine. I have my first appointment on Thursday, but it's just a pee in a cup and paperwork appointment I believe, since it's only about 30 minutes. Once all that happens, then they will schedule me for my "real" first appointment :) I am one of like 300 pregnant women on the base, the soliders came back from Iraq in November and WA-BOW they can't hardly keep HPT's on the shelf! It's rather funny actually :rotfl2: Because of all the pregnant women they said on the phone I might not get in every 4 weeks like normal, that they might have to stretch it to every 5 weeks. But they also said that they might refer me over to the high-risk doctor because of my *cough*cough* advanced age. I'm 33:scared1: But if that means I can get seen more often, then bring it on! I have considered going out on the economy and seeing a German doctor, that seems fine to me. But what scares me about the idea is actually delivering in a German Hospital. Most doc's around here speak English, but not so much for the nurses and other support staff. So, we'll see what the clinic has to say and how often they can actually see me.

Well, I got some great news yesterday.. I am going to be an Auntie! I called my brother and SIL and was catching up with them when my brother popped in with "Okay, Aunt Mindy!" I asked them when they were due, and she is due the weekend after Thanksgiving. And I told him, "That's great, Uncle Scott!" and he paused for a minute and said.. "NO WAY!!!" So I broke down and told them that we were due early to mid December. I wasn't planning on telling anyone except my best friend until at least after the 8th week, but it was too exciting not to say anything! :yay: Now, if he can just keep his big mouth shut!

My dad and step mom are coming to visit the beginning of May, and will be here for 2 weeks. The week they arrive will be the start of my 8th week, so I think we will tell them either right before they get here, or when they get here. Right now, I will just let them bask (basque?) in the glow of hearing the news of their first grandchild :) It's fun, cause I can call them grandma and grandpa now and they won't pick up that I am pregnant too :rotfl:

Well, this is a long enough post... hope everyone is doing well and I can't wait to hear about more BFP's!!

:flower3:

:goodvibes Hey everyone, look what I got for Easter! :yay:

Dh says that since I was supposed to wait until Tuesday to test that it can't be accurate and we should wait to tell anyone until I've taken another test next week. Then he said "I suppose your going to tell all those wacky Disney people you talk to online." And I said, "They'll be the first ones to know after you, since you don't want us to tell anyone until we have a Dr. confirm it!" He just sighed...and said his classic grumpy phrase...
"Well, I'm sure there will be plenty of suffering for everyone." :rotfl:

I've tried explaining that a positive is a positive and it IS possible to get an accurate test this early, but he's not buying it. Since it's cheaper for me to go into our HMO and get a pregnancy test done than to go buy another stick from the store, I'll try and get in ASAP this week and get this confirmed so DH can be assured that we really are expecting a BABY!!! :cheer2: FF says my due date is Dec 19, so my Easter surprise will turn into a Christmas present! :)

Hooray!
