Denise - they calculate your due date as 40 weeks after the first day of your last period. But they may adjust that date once you have an ultrasound to coincide with the baby's growth. It is amazing how accurate ultrasounds can be.

Kelly - Have you been able to tell through your charting whether or not you are ovulating? Have you had it reviewed by a professional? Have you had any blood work done? Have you had an HSG to make sure your rubes aren't blocked.

I would love to have a glass of wine with you. I think there really is something in the water on this thread, so take a sip and let's hope for the best.

No testing yet...only 9dpo.

Gotta keep drinking :drinking1 :drinking:

I'm starting to feel a little tipsy. :rolleyes1 And I need to pee. :rotfl: Man, girl, you can drink me under the table.

This seems to be a really fertile time. I just found out a friend of mine is pregnant, too.

The funny thing is I don't drink alcohol :rotfl2: But if I could get drunk off milk I'd be an alcoholic. My DH says we should buy stock in a dairy farm :rotfl:

Congrats to your friend :cool1:

Remind me never to schedule a hair appt at 8:30 again. Really messed up my morning, though it was nice and quite in teh salon since most dont' start scheduling until 9:00 or later.

Before I go on, here is some of an update from Stephanie

On 4/4/07, Stephanie
My period is now unreal in the pain department.
Last cycle and this one (both started 5 days later than usual) are so horrible that I've been taking my leftover pain meds from my d&c
in September. I'm so depressed because this Saturday is what was
supposed to be my due date :( I was called and invited to an old
coworker's baby shower this Saturday, and I just do not think I can do it.

I'm not sure many people were aware that I found out that the doctor who did my d&c did a horrible job. I have scar tissue completely blocking both of my tubes. That, along with the pain I've been in for the last 2 cycles, prompted my doctor to squeeze me into surgery for 04/26. He was booked out until July, but knew how heartbroken I was, and how many pain I was in. I'm having a Laparoscopic and a hysteroscopic myomectomy. Procedure is going to take out an hour and a half and I have to be out of work for 2 days and then the weekend in bed. I'm really, really hoping that this clears things up...and I am scared to
death that it won't help.

I hate to sound selfish, but please keep me in your prayers. I feel like I could use extra ones right now.

Me speaking, I cannot say that is a selfish request at all, Steph  I really am praying for you.

My heart really does go out to everyone who is trying and feeling like they have nothing to show for it. I know many of us totally understand what that is like. I know I do... almost 11 months of trying and then a miscarriage. I really should be a lot more elated about this pregnancy, but I can't get my hopes up too much. I have no bad feelings really, but there is the side of me that is scared. I want to hold this baby in my arms... I can almost see it. I just don't know when I will "know" that this isn't going to end like last time. I saw a heartbeat at 6w5d... none at 11w. I can't feel like I am able to shout out to the world. I guess I can only hope that come the time my first child would be due, I am able to share the new one with everyone (about the 1st of June is when I will announce to family)

So my heart does break for everyone. I know this place has to be a mixed emotion area for some. It's comfort to know you aren't alone, but when a huge slew of BPF come through, it makes it tough. You want to be happy, but it can be hard. Just know at least from me, I really do pray and think good thoughts for you all. I really do almost every single day because I know how much it does hurt and I haven't even gone through some of what you all are doing!!

I know Christine tried to share her story to remind that sometimes it just happens when you least expect it and twice now I coudl say the same. I am not going to say "you need to relax and I know it will happen" because I know for sure that some people definitely need to be checked out and need medical intervention. Just going to say that sometimes even though you are like clockwork and you have nothing wrong with you, it takes time. Sometimes I have no idea why. Why would it almost 11 months for me the first time? Why really only 3 this time? Sadly sometimes there are no answers. All you can do sometimes is just ride it out and check with your doctor to make sure you aren't "missing something"

I am so happy for all of our new BFPs though!!! That is awesome!!! I really do hope and pray we see more here very very soon!

Of course I'll gladly share my water with y'all... it's Brita filtered so it tastes pretty good too ;)

Jennifer, Gurgi, Allison, Rebecca, Snoopygirl, and Kellyfan big big hugs to you!!!! You are seriously ones I think of often :grouphug:

Amber, I think it is time you test ;) And if youare cycles are that long, have you had the docs check you out? It sounds way too long of cycles to be just average if it is CD 39 and CD54 at times. Usually that is a symptom of scarring or something else wrong.

Snoopygirl, hang in there with everyone asking. My DH and I will be married 7 years this Oct. Trust me the questions do eventually go away ;) I guess everyone just assumed we weren't going to have kids... especially since when I quit my job in 2005 that there was no real annoucement to follow ;)

Kelly(mouse) I hope the Clomid will work for you. I really have my fingers crossed for you with this as well!

Nicole, I have constant heartburn. I don't throw up much ever myself, but supposedly constant heartburn, nausea w/o throwing up still counts for morning sickness. My appetite comes and goes. Dairy seems out for me now which means I will be stuck to rice, mashed potatos, bland chicken, tomato sauce, other bland carbs and PB soon. About the intelligender thing, I did some research and since I cannot find out what the chemicals are, I am wary to do it. I heard it is about as reliable as the Drano test though. Could be fun!

Bethany, thinking lots of baby dust for you. A lot of my pg symptoms were similar to PMS, but more intense. Like now my bbs hardly hurt, but during normal PMS lately they were never sore at all (prior to my D&C they hurt a week before... now nothing). I thought I was getting AF this time and it seems it was more constipation cramping with ligament pulls. For me a huge sign is an increas in CM. Trust me, I feel like I am "leaking" and that was something I totally forgot about last time to now.

Jennifer, it must be tough to be in a small town. This sounds horrible, but try to ignore it and relax when it comes to thinking about them. I know that cannot help at all.

Denise, I would stay away from the sites that talk about how often miscarriages happen. You probably don't want to know the stats ;) Good luck with work though. I would see if you can bring food with you to snack on. The first few months really wiped me out as well. I'm not doing much better this time, but trying ot move more.
We are probably fairly close to when our due dates will be. Depending on when you ovulate, they will add 2 weeks on to that. So since I ovulate early and have been having 24-25 day cycles, I will actually be "further along" than when my last period was :teeth:

There I think I typed enough for today. We have a lot going on at chruch the next few days so I am sure I will be a bit MIA

Stephanie - I think of you often and wish you lots of good luck! I, too had some scar tissue after my D&C, but not as badly as yours, and did not block my tubes. I had a hysteroscopy which moved the scarring out of the way, and made the doctor feel better about where the placenta might attach.

I was furious with the doctor who did mine - I was so vulnerable at the time, and just did what they told me, and let whichever doctor was there do it - it might have even been a student, I can't really remember.

Holy Smokes!!! That is a lot of eggs!!! Keep us updated on how many fertilize.

When is your transfer? Best of luck and tons of :wizard:

Good Evening Everyone!

Denise: Don't research bad things that you can't do anything about. We raised you better than that;). As you all know, I am a reserach fiend, but I think you should only read about the things that you can do to have a healthy pregnancy. I have heard wonderful things about the book "What to expect while you're expecting". I will probably freak out the guy at our bookstore when I buy it b/c I'll be bawling:) .

Rebecca: I love milk too. I drink @ a half a gallon a day. My DH says I should "moo". I am so proud of you for waiting to test. I never would have guessed how much I love to POAS. BabyDust pixiedust:

Elaine: Poor Steph. I'll be praying for her. I'm sure her new doc is great and will remove all the damage.

Thank you for your kind supportive words. It really helps to know other people "get" how emotional this process is when you want it to happen so badly, and you have fears that it won't. Please don't worry about your little one. We worry when we try and we worry when we succeed. Have faith, and everything will be fine!

Amber: Have you tested yet? Baby Dust to you!!

Meredith: That is one big Easter basket. I am so excited for you. You give those little swimmers a good pep talk. You can start off our next round of BFPs!

Bethany: I hate the TWW! I don't get anything done. I work a little, obsess about the twinge in my stomach. I return one of the 10 phone calls I missed while obsessing about the twinge, and then I have to obsess about my potential heartburn. Vicious little cycle. I have my fingers crossed for you!

Have a great night! For all of you that get to test tomorrow, Good Luck! For those of you that want to test tomorrow, wait!!!!

Jennifer

Just a word of warning ... a lot of women do not like What to expect because it can come across as cold and scary. I don't care for it. I have a ton of books .. one of my favorites is Your Pregnancy Week by Week. They also have one for the week by week of your babies first year and also one on general pregnancy questions that I really liked. Check them out at the store before you buy one!!!

Steph ... HUGS .. I miss you!!!

Good luck everyone else ... 28 EGGS ... HOLY COW!!

Aww..Steph...I'm so sorry.

Just found out that two more people in my office are pregnant! Seriously...what's the deal?!? LOL! Sometimes I feel like the only person not pregnant that wants to be! Ugh!

I fell pretty icky today...scratchy throat, watery eyes, sneezing. yuck! I spent the last three days digging through old, old documents for one of our clients. I think the dust/mold has caught up with me!

Today is CD28 for me. Past few cycles have started on CD28, but I'm sick and been stressed about the amount of work I have, so I"m sure I'll start later this month. NOt getting my hopes up...it's just too hard.

I haven't charted. DH suggested that I do it, but just never remember to temp in the morning. I had really bad endo about 3 years ago, did a 6 mo. cycle of Lupron, and then had something similar to an HSG and both tubes were clear. I will probably start charting at the start of my next cycle which is about a week away. Fun stuff. :)

Wow, it's great to see all the BFPs around here lately!

I was wondering if anyone else had trouble taking prenatal vitamins. I started taking them this week and I end up totally nauseous after. Is it okay to just take folic acid in adition to a multi-vitamin?

My name is Shari btw :wave2:. I hope to spend more time on here once we start TTC.

Hey Shari! Not ttc....but still attached to you guys.:) Take two Flintstone vitamins. That is what my ob/gyn recommended and it worked like a charm.:)

I am so sorry that you feel depressed Steph I will keep ya in my prayers. Denae I need some of that water because I don't think my water is the same water everyone else has

Flintstones vitamins are much more appealing than those horse pills I've been taking! Thanks!!!

Oh I'm not researching about MCs...I just happen to be on a website and go to their discussion forums and bamm! :sad1: As soon as I go to the OB on Tuesday I will then be looking for all kinds of books to keep my baby healthy. I know y'all raised me better, but you'll find over the next nine months how hard headed I can be. :rolleyes1 You girls are the best! Thanks for all the wishes and advice. :flower3:

As said about previous quote...I don't research MCs intentionally, but now when I see something about them, I WON'T read it.:thumbsup2 It's hard to bring snack food right now with Passover since the food is restrictive, but the matzah crackers seem to really get me through the rough spots. After Tuesday I will PM you and you can give me a list of munchies that might help. I'm so excited we're going to be close in our due dates. Let's take bets on who has their baby first! :lmao:
