:grouphug: I feel the exact same way. Now, I'm hoping for a "Christmas present".

Well we are back from our trip. Had a great time eventhough the weather was not the best.

So I will take my last Clomid tonight...the s/e have not been that bad...a slight headache and kinda emotional but not too bad.

So I have a question...I was told that after the last pill I will ovulate 5-9 days later. So do I start using OPK's tomorrow?????

Congrats on the new BFP's!!!!!!

Carla-Welcome Back...So great to hear from you!!!!! :goodvibes

Just got caught up on some threads. Good to see you back Carla. I know what you mean about a midwife. What the f*ck don't you understand about I don't want a midwife. My practice that delivered my daughter was the same way. MY Ob isn't doing OB anymore and when I asked about it they said we have some great midwives. NO I need a c section thank you very much

Hi, everyone! We just got back from our trip around midnight last night. Too many posts to catch up on! I'm still un-pregnant as ever, just chilling out this month and bd'ing when we can. I think I'm due around Christmas for AF. This is month 6 for us. Any new preggos that I'm not aware of? :listen: Anyone still in my boat who needs company for sulking?

We had a great trip! The weather was between 60s and 80s all week! :beach: Light crowds- we waited 60 minutes for Soarin', everything else was either hop right on or wait maybe 15 minutes tops. The Osborne lights were amazing! We got a great photo from photopass at MVMCP that I'm making into our Christmas cards. :santa: Le Cellier was excellent, Rose and Crown as usual, I could go on! We took tons of pictures and video of everything. I'm catching up on all my suitcases full of dirty laundry now, and trying to organize all this junk.

I have a question..

I am only 4 days past O and "the girls" are already swollen and sensitive. It seems too early for any symptoms. They usually puff up but not this soon :confused3 .

When do some usually begin having symptoms?

Kelly-fanofdisney- welcome back. sounds like a great trip. we did le cellier in august with free dining, so good. i love that place and eat there everytime we go. weren't the lights amazing? did you get the free hot chocolate and cookies at MVMCP.

Laurel- congrats on the boy- what great news.

Carla- welcome back. i am so glad to hear you are doing well, other than the sickness. i can't believe you are 13 weeks already. i might be coming to you for advice about in vitro if we aren't pregnant by early feb (2 more IUIs/injectable cycles).

Stepharoonie- hang in there- we know it is tough. i am so tired of being poked and prodded. i went in for my gyn annual and they thought my thyroid was off. they said to ask my RE to take a blood panel next visit, i said, just go ahead adn take it here, i am used to the poking and bw. :rotfl: :confused3 they took like 5 vials! not near the 20 you had taken Carla! they said it could be affecting my irregular menstraul cycles, who knows. at this point, i give up on guessing what our problem is after all the testing, meds and IUIs. we might as well throw in a thyroid issue too. ugh! but i am still trying, still trying to keep my chin up. so here's a hug and i hope you keep your chin up too. :grouphug: CD20 for me. had some stomach pains and back ache today plus headache. all signs AF is coming. i hope she comes early like the last few months. i am ready to get started with this next cycle if my cyst is gone! keep your fingers crossed that it is.

i am in Allentown, PA for some meetings and our company christmas party tomorrow night. it is so cold here! i want to go back to TX!! lol :grouphug:

Hi Ladies~

I'd really like to join y'all. It may take me a few days to read a good number of the posts and get to know who's doing what.

DH and I have been TTC for almost 8 yrs, and I'm a 6 yr vet of TTC support boards. We are MF and poss annov. After many starts and stops, it seems like 2007 will be our year for tx.

My favorite support site is http://groups.msn.com/fertilitysisters

For anyone wondering, my children are from my previous marriage; DH and I have no children together. (Primary IF for him, secondary for me.)

Have a good night ladies, I'm looking forward to 'meeting' all of you.

Swollen, sore bbs were my very first symptom. They started to feel full and soooooo sore extremely early, which was strange for me. Usually before AF arrived, they would get sore a day or too before, and then that feeling would go away. This time, it started very early - and never went away! Looking back, that was my first sign that something was different.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you!! pixiedust:

I would agree, too! :thumbsup2 Mine were SO sore very early on & that was a big sign for me, too. I used to have some tenderness with AF, but only for a day - usually not an entire week like they were when I got my BFP. Baby Dust coming your way!! :goodvibes :wizard:

Thanks for the baby dust and good wishes! My dh thinks I am pregnant because of this sudden change. He would know. ;) . Now for the big wait. I will see if they continue to remain sore and take a test this month. I usually try to hold off because they are so expensive. I feel like the money I have spent on pre/post pregnancy devices can feed a small third world country. :rotfl:

Welcome Noni! I hope you enjoy this group... I know they have been wonderful for me!!

I really am keeping my fingers crossed for y'all who are trying to get pregant. I hope the holidays and time of joy bring good presents to everyone :teeth:
Well okay, not for me, because in all honesty, I'd be too afraid to get pregnant at the moment... I want one cycle to go through (like my doc suggested) to make sure my lining isn't too thin for implantation ;)

As for first symptoms... my bbs were *extremely* sore like 2 days after I O'd. I mean they hurt like crazy and kept that way. I usually get sore bbs about a week before (it's my little warning that I have exactly a week to go) but these were so early and so painful! Looking back, that was my very first symptom.

I have my post op appt today... hope that one goes well :)

Michelle, I hope you don't need IVF, but if you do, I can answer lots of questions. That's a good thing and a bad thing. ;)

Noni, I really admire your positive attitude. DH and I tried for 27 months and went through 4 rounds of IVF and my attitude was pretty lousy a lot of the time. It's amazing that you have been through so much and still manage to keep positive.

Lisa, that was the crazy thing about the conversation with the intake nurse. She explained to me that they used to rotate between all 4 of them - as in, 1 midwife on call, then 1 doctor on call, etc. Then, they somehow "realized" that a doctor needs to be on call at all times because of c-sections. Duh! So now, there is a midwife and a doctor on call at the same time, but the doctor doesn't actually show up unless there is an emergency. The hospital is not in the best of areas - smack in the middle of the city - so I'm pretty sure a doctor doesn't live close enough to be less than half an hour away. It struck me as insane that it took them time to discover that a doctor needs to be on call because, duh, women need c-sections.

I had really strange symptoms. My bbs weren't sore, but I was getting these sharp pains in them - like someone was pinching them or holding a lit match to them. I had the taste of ashtray in my mouth. My gums hurt and bled. I had pinching in my uterus. The typical symptoms didn't show up until about 5-6w.

I had an early 3 hour GTT yesterday. It was terrible. I was so sick. I gagged the entire way there in the car. I drank the stuff down OK, but then the waiting room got crowded and the movements and noise started to get to me. I ended up sitting in my car most of the time between blood draws. It was peaceful at least and I could gag without feeling like an idiot. :goodvibes

Carla-what is a 3 hour GTT? You are making me nervous! I am so nauseous and gaggy that I can barely eat and drink anything now, I am praying I don't have to drink some weird concoction. Do all pregnant women have to drink this? Sorry you were so sick!

TAKitty-I certainly don't think it's too early for pregnancy symptoms. I started having sore nipples 1DPO, so anything is possible. I will say that the pain I have felt with both of my pregnancies in my breasts is much worse than any with a period, and they haven't stopped hurting yet. Just having the shower water running on them hurts. Good luck!!!

well its 7dpo for me and i'm already starting to feel crampy. i really was hoping this would be the month.

This is exactly how I feel now. They usually are not this sore so soon! I however am cautiously optimistic. You all know what it is like...I would hate to get my hopes up and be sad if it doesn't happen.

Good luck to everyone else!

This Clomid is something else...I'm normally very in control of my emotions. I don't consider myself a weepy person...if anything I'm the opposite (I always say it's because of my red hair=fiery temper).

Anyway I'm watching CMT Pure Country and a video just came on for Kenny Rogers In the last 10 years and I found myself crying. Wow....

I got a negative OPK yesterday and I haven't tested yet today. I normally don't test till about 7 or 8pm. But I can tell you I have lots of CM (tmi sorry). I was worried because I've heard that you can get really dry on clomid but at least this cycle that is not the case. So we are just waiting to start BD'ing. DH got the OK from his dr. His S/A came back just fine but he does have low testosterone which kinda baffeled the Dr. Normally if you have low test. the swimmers are not that great. So the Dr. is putting him on a patch to see if they can get his test. higher.

So that is my update.

:grouphug: to those in the 2WW!!

DisneyDreamer, please do NOT let anyone give your DH testosterone!! Never, ever should any man take testosterone. It is male birth control and will deplete a sperm count - possibly irreversibly. If the patch is testosterone replacement, please talk with your doctor and get a 2nd opinion. My DH has low testosterone and his urologist specializes in infertility. He gave my DH Clomid to up his testosterone. Check it out online....I found this from one website:

It makes intuitive sense that when a man has impaired fertility because of a low sperm count, giving him extra testosterone would benefit his fertility. This is a critical mistake many doctors continue to make.

Approximately 150,000 men every year are evaluated for impaired fertility. Oftentimes a low sperm count and low testosterone are found. Such men are even more susceptible to the toxic effects of extra testosterone on their sperm production. Extra testosterone will stop a man’s sperm production and make his chances for fertility impossible! Even giving testosterone in replacement doses, so that blood levels never are higher than normal, will halt sperm production. Testosterone has actually been administered to healthy men in low doses for the purpose of a male birth control. There are medical conditions when testosterone replacement is highly beneficial-but restoring sperm production is never one of them. Fortunately, the impaired sperm production that extra testosterone causes is often reversible, but can take anywhere from 3 months to years.

Mickeybar, everyone takes the 1 hour GTT later in pregnancy where you drink the stuff. Hopefully, you'll be over the nausea before you have the test. :goodvibes I had mine very early because of my history - it's usually not done until 28w or so.

I swear you learn something new every day in this group... it never fails me!

My appt went well... she was a bit baffled as to why I still spot occasionally, but given it is little amounts and very dark, it's just my body clearing out. She suspects I will probably spot lightly off and on until my period comes. She seemed to think it would be relatively soon given what she saw/felt (how they can tell, I will never know ;)) After AF comes, I am good to go. She talked with me how I was physically doing as well as emotionally. Said that if things feel bad for me emotionally, she can prescribe a low dose antidepressant. Half of me thinks of taking her up on that since I don't do well during the holidays anyway (my mom died Dec 15, 1993, and I never seem to forget it) but the other half of me wants to shy away from it.

I'm halfway wondering if I am PMSing... not near as strong as normal for me, but I'm sort of getting twinges in my bbs like I normally do. Today I am a little crampy but that could be AF coming in a week or so or it could be simply effects of the check up... I suppose we'll see. I would imagine by the end of the month, we'll be at it again. Luis understands if I want to wait, but if I really wait, then I will be too afraid to do this all again, so I figure we ought to just go with it and see what it brings us.

Anyway, I rambled a lot, but best wishes to those during the 2ww... not to give false hope, but keep in mind cramps are totally normal... I had more painful ones in the beginning... I mean knife stabbing pains at times too as the uterus grows... and they were a bit more low as well, so a cramp may not be bad :)

Thanks Carla!! The perscription is for the patch.

I thought it was kinda wierd that they would put him on testosterone if his S/A came back just fine. I will have him talk with the Dr. again. I have not picked up the perscription yet so no worries there. I am waiting for the little report in the mail with the actual numbers for everything because when I asked DH yesterday what they were he gave me that look of :confused3 So I had planned on doing some research on my own this weekend and now I KNOW I need to.
