Good morning ladies It is 8 dpo when can i start testing. I really hope that this is the month but I have been feeling crampy but my breast hurt. This month has been so different from the cravings for Wes's Ribs (saw an ad for them while waiting the 10 minutes for the IUI) to the breasts etc. Kevin's count was also really high and this minth has been a banner month for us

Gypsydoodlebug - My theory has always been - you don't know it's a BFN until AF arrives. And if testing makes you feel better, go for it. The money you save by cutting back on all the stuff we're supposed to give up to get pregnant can go towards more tests

Becky - Is the Reglan helping at all? You definitely need a laptop for couch sitting. Think of all the baby stuff you could be looking up.

I'm just killing time waiting for AF so we can figure out what to do next. My temperature jumped about 0.5 degrees on Friday, but I'm assuming since they saw no follicles on u/s 7/10 that they didn't develop overnight....

Jen....what are you up to while killing time?

I had another u/s and E2 done this morning. Doc couldn't find my left ovary on the u/s..no matter what she tried. Luckily she found the right one and everything looked fine. The follies are still growing slowly. My E2 levels came back within normal range but she still wants me to decrease my Follistim to 75IU's tonight and tomorrow night. I have another monitoring session Tuesday morning at 7:45am. Hopefully then the follies will be close to ready.

POAS = pee on a stick... Which I'm swearing off until at least Thursday morning, unless the stupid hag shows up... It's pretty bad when you have a stack of coupons from opened boxes just waiting to be used.

OMG!! I so laughed at this, I'm still giggling and trying not to cry or pee.

I'm a PIAC kinda gal too, but never referred to it as this!! I will from now on!!

OK, that's the one I took -- First Response. Thanks for the heads up ...l'm a POAS fiend and it's driving DH crazy. I made him hide the rest of the tests in the box until late next week...

Those tests are misleading--you have to consider your O day.

Think of it this way.

3 women with a 28 day cycle.

One O's on day 14

One on day 12

and one on day 17

They are assuming the standard 14DPO rule--so 4 days early would be 10DPO and not really 4 days before you expected your period.

women 1 would test BFP (possibly) with FMU as early as CD24

women 2 would test BFP (possibly with FMU as early as CD 22

But poor women 3--wouldn't test BFP until CD 27--and seemingly only 1 day early.

My BFP (as in faint positive) came at 10DPO which was CD29. 1 day later than the average cycle.

Hope that makes some sense.

Yep, Monday morning I am so on the phone! DH said he'd feel better if I got in for an appointment before we start TTC, and if my cycle continues to be nice and regular, AF will show up on the 18th, and I'll be ov'ing on Aug 8th. Now to slip in that pre-TTC appointment somewhere in there to reassure DH and start the BD'ing!

It only took a few tests. Got some big ol' fat ugly negatives!!! I have so never hated the color white!!!

I used First response with first morning urine and it was soooooo faint.

It wasn't until 12DPO that I got a better result and got a positive on the digital (Confirm clearly--with pretty lots). That stayed negative in the earlier days.

Do you know your O day, or are you basing it on cycle day?

I'm a new PIAC girl. Actually got that tip from a website. If your urine is too pale--it actually advises to NOT waste a test. You need concentrated urine for an early result. So it has to be a dark yellow (think apple juice ).


Okay guys--got a reject on a bill from insurance for an urgent care center last month for when DD was sick (they put the wrong year!!!! ). So when I went to go pick up the new print out--it wasn't busy--so I asked if they do quantitative betas..they said no.. ..but that they could send them out . So I made a spur of the moment decision to go ahead and get the beta. At a nice non-judgemental facility. (local doc who saw me after m/c--since I don't know him...was afraid to go back and get lectured. ).

So tomorrow I will have my beta # and then I will go back on Wednesday afternoon (>48 hours from the draw) and get the 2nd beta.

I had my 3rd beta on Friday - everything looks great! I still have to stay on the Crinone for several more weeks, but Tuesday the 25th I go in for my first u/s! It'll be 6 weeks already! I'm feeling great - a little crampy, but my tummy hasn't created any mutany yet

Do you know your O day, or are you basing it on cycle day?

See, I think that's what I'm doing wrong, since I'm doing this au naturale. I had my last pd on June 21. I have a 28 days cycle. The online calculators said I was fertile from the 2nd to the 7th, so I don't really know when to tell WHEN I O'd.

ETA: And I drink an obscene amount of water, so maybe that might have affected the hCG levels? I used a Dollar Tree test first thing Saturday morning and it was a BFN

I have been craving Ken's buffalo wing sauce with blue cheese dressing. I just mix the two and eat. Marie's is great and Stop and Shop had it on sale for 2 a piece. If I am not pregnant there is something defientely wrong

Thanks to the Big Dig, getting to work has been nearly impossible. I have to leave at 4:15am to get there before hitting miles of traffic. I didn't make it today and, chances are, I'm not making it tomorrow. Whatever.

I had to go to my eye doctor today because a Christmas ornament exploded in my hands and cut me all up. I got fragments in my eye. DH washed it out - he's a contractor, so he knows about getting stuff out of eyes. But, I wanted to get a once over by my eye doctor, so I called this morning and they had me come in right away. Nothing in the eyes. Good to know.

How hot is it by everyone? I think it's pretty hot here now. My windows are all fogged up because I have the central air on and it's cold in here and it must be hot outside. Even with the air on....and it's a good temp in here....I'm wearing pajama pants....I'm having a hard time getting a good breath. That's the humidity, I guess. It must be pretty bad out there for it to bug me in here in the air. My good friend is 36 weeks pregnant with her 2nd and she has no a/c at all. She's miserable. She says going into labor and being in the air conditioned hospital sounds like a dream right now!

Well in Mass it got to 94. I have a small intex pool in the back that Diana and I went into to. Was it heaven. I worked 2 hours today--7 basket delieveries total 50 not bad to 2 hrs work.

Carla- I am having my beta on Monday but when could I do a pee test?????? HSG last Friday at 9 pm an IUI at 11 am on Sat and Sun. Now I am getting AF cramps

Lisa, in my buddy group on Fertility Friend, we usually test the day before the beta. We figure that's safe and, if it's negative, we can be disappointed in private. Getting that call stinks. It's the only reason I'm happy AF shows up before my beta. That way, when my RE calls to tell me BFN, I can say, "That's what I figured...." It saves us both from a lousy moment - her apologizing and feeling bad and me trying to not to break down over the phone and making her feel worse for "failing" me. I'd say test Sunday AM if no AF by then. That's what most of us in my group do (some wait for the beta....they have patience I don't understand!).

It's supposed to be hotter tomorrow! Eek! I'm definitely staying home....especially since there are supposed to be storms later in the day.
