Question for you y'all:

Does Diet Coke (or similar products) have an effect on men's fetility? My boss, who tried for over a year before his wife became pregnant with their son, said his doctor told him to cut back on Diet Cokes to one or two a week. Have y'all heard this? Because DH drinks about three or four cans a night...

BTW: I start Clomid next week.

:grouphug: Elaine. I hope your appointment goes well on Tuesday.

:cheer2: No AF, no AF, no AF (except for me, please).

Denae

Princess:tink: thanks for the heads up on the cheapie OPKs!!! I would have driven myself nuts comparing lines.

Allison, I think I'll probably lose my FF coverline like you did last cycle. I really don't think I O'd and this just wasn't the right cycle for me.

Elaine I hope your appointment goes well . I'll be thinking about you tomorrow.

Elaine, good luck with your appointment tomorrow. Until you feel movement, every appointment is hard. Everytime they bust out that doppler, the worry starts. No reason to worry, but it's always there. I hope you hear a nice strong heartbeat!

Kristy, yay for starting!! It's hard to believe we celebrate the start of getting needles, but things are pretty backwards in the world of IF. ;)

gypsydoodle, I don't know how Diet Coke would impact fertility. Try a Google search and see what it says. I know some women have been told to have their DH's drink something with caffeine before an analysis because it can get them "moving". Good luck with the Clomid!!

Allison, I'm sorry for you and DH's loss. I always heard that a new baby follows a death. So, maybe there will be a reason to be happy again soon!

Minnesota, I hope you're right!! I'm getting the feeling I'm going to have evict this one. I wouldn't mind, but I can't take being sick and pregnant. This flu/strep thing just won't go away. I can't Nyquil myself. It stinks. My lovely doctor gave me Ambien, but only gave me 5 to see how they worked. Well, they worked and now I'm out and not sleeping again because I can't breathe thanks to my stuffy nose/dry, sore throat/body aches. I go back today, so I'll beg for some more.

We have a date with an induction on 6/19....two more weeks....two more weeks.....she shows no signs of wanting to come out. I think she's pretty happy in there. Maybe she likes the Ambien, too! :thumbsup2

I'll join in the chant as well!!!NO AF! NO AF! NO AF!

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Sorry I wasn't able to check in I was just too darn busy!
 Elaine good luck at your appointment. I am sure all is well:goodvibes

Skuttle and Momsully hope you are both AF free! Let us know what is up! We want BFPss!!!!

I should ovulate tomorrow and/or Wednesday. We are going to do AI tomorrow night and Wednesday night. Then, the 2ww wait begins. :thumbsup2

Well, I tested this morning and it was a BFN. I am ok with it as I did not expect much since I ended up in the hospital because of the Clomid. AF still has not started but I expect it any day. As soon as it starts I will call the doctor and start on the metaformin.

Have a great day everyone!

I found another good book: "A Few Good Eggs--Two Chicks Dish on Overcoming the Insaniy of Infertility" by Julie Vargo and Maureen Regan. Not too much new info, but a very supportive and humorous book. The inside cover has a mock board game called "Baby Land" that is worth the whole book.

Hey Ladies :goodvibes

Sorry I didn't check in this weekend but we were having thunderstorms and the power kept flickering

Elaine: I hope your appt goes well today

Carla: Hang in there

Kristy: Congrats on being able to start moving forward!!! :wizard:

Momsully:  It's not over till the old hag shows!!!

TinkerChelle: Best of luck and Baby Dust for your AI!!!! :wizard:

Princess Pooh: Sorry your body is not playing fair.

gypsydoodlebug: I don't have any clue about the soda thing but best of luck with Clomid!!! :wizard:

Allison: I'm glad you had a great time with your DH :goodvibes How goes your 2WW????

Jennifer: Yes my Progesterone increased from 12.7 to 25.7. The Dr should be calling today with the number from this cycle.

Well today is CD25...so far so good. Maybe all this chanting is working!!!

NO AF (except for Denae) NO AF (except for Denae) NO AF (except for Denae) NO AF (except for Denae)

:wizard:

Happy Monday!

GypsySue: Thanks for the heads up, I will make time to see the movie soon.

Allison and Elaine: You are making me want to pony up another $8.50 to go see it again .;)

Elaine: I am sending :goodvibes for your appt tomorrow.

Gypsydoodlebug: I think it's the caffeine in the Diet Coke that is the problem. Our doc recomends no more than 1 to 2 servings of caffeine a day while trying (for both of us). I just put mine on caffeine free Diet Coke and he's been fine. GL!

Tinkerchelle: GL! Lots of baby dust!

Momsully: Sorry  . I am still keeping my f/x for you.

Carla: Again w/ the TWW. I thought you were done w/ that 9 months ago:) .

Rebecca: Good numbers! Lots of babydust. I am CD 28. I want to POAS so bad!!!!!!! No AF, No AF, No AF (excpet for Denae)

Have a great day all!

Jennifer

Elaine...Good luck tomorrow! I'm sure that little baby is getting stronger and stronger! Pretty soon you'll be complaining that the kicking is keeping you up at night! :goodvibes

Jennifer...Do you know what happens in the last scene of POTC?

Sue...I'll have to check out that book. I still haven't preordered Harry Potter, so I need to get to a book store. We have a wedding in Dallas on July 7th and I'm looking for reading material! Harry Potter won't be out untnil July 21st and I"m sure I'll be finished re-reading the series again since it's such a fast read. Hopefully I'll be pregnant and won't need it ;) but if not I'll definitely check it out!

Momsully...I'm sorry. How late are you?

Carla...I guess that little girl thinks that since you went through so much to get her in there, that maybe she should stay in there a while! ;) I remember towards the end of my pregnany I kept asking DS to "Get Out". Of course, he came 4 weeks early so maybe that wasn't a good idea!

Rebecca....Good luck in your 2ww!! :goodvibes

Today is CD25 so I'm still in the 2ww. Earliest AF has arrived is CD28...latest CD33 so I still have a ways to go! I'm still temping and temp is still up, actually had a small rise yesterday. So I"m not counting myself out yet!

SOMEONE has to get a BFP soon!! It's been WAY too long!! We need some summer BFP's!

No AF! :jumping3: No AF! :bounce: No AF! :Pinkbounc No AF!

allison

Well I got my Progesterone level back 18.3 now that is lower than last time but still at a level consistant with ovulation. So I guess the next 4 days will tell the tale.

When are you going to test Jennifer??? Let us know :goodvibes

Allison I know that you are like me and are going to wait until AF is late but it is oh so hard because by my calculations I'm 10dpo today.......Maybe this will help.

I will not test unless AF is late
I will not test unless AF is late
I will not test unless AF is late

It would be a lot easier if I didn't have tests in the house

Rebecca...step away from the testing strips ;) ;)

I started BC pills tonight and we're going in June 19th to sign the consent forms, do bloodwork and to get my baseline ultrasound. :yay:

edited to add: Carla I just went back and saw that you're being induced on 6/19. It gives me goosebumps to think this time last year we were both doing rounds and here you are giving birth to your miracle baby as I start round two. I think this is a very good sign!!

Allison: No, I don't know. I am going to have to go pretty soon before someone around here tells me :) . I have been very strict w/ friends not to say anything, but that makes them want to tell me even more. I can't wait for Harry Potter. I already pre-ordered, but I haven't started my re-read yet.

Rebecca: I must confess that I POAS today. It's way too early, I know. I was on FF today and there was a girl on there that had just gotten her BFP at 8 DPO so of course I thought, "I'm 8 DPO, it's a sign!!!". It was a sign to waste a test. I am sure I will POAS again tomorrow. I have gotten my hopes up way too high this month and I need to see a few BFNs to help take the edge off of my optimism this month. Sunday is my drop day. If I don't get a BFP, then I stop the progesterone and let AF make her appearance.

Kristy: I think that is such a good sign too!

Baby Dust to all pixiedust: No AF! No AF! No AF! No AF!

Jennifer

Gypsydoodle, I looked up aspartame and male fertility... some claim yes, others say nothing about it with men (only women). I personally have had a lot of issues with diet drinks and how my body metabolizes them, so I admit I avoid them 100% now.
I say it never hurts to get rid of chemicals in the body while TTC. Good luck with Clomid!

My fingers are crossed for you all in the 2ww... hearing about POAS really made me smile. I admit I never was one to do it early... good thing I am cheapskate because otherwise I would've been doing it often!

Carla, good luck with the induction on the 19th. Of course we expect you to come in and tell us all about it ont he 20th :rotfl: I really do wish you and your wee one well!

Jennifer, check to see if your movie theater has cheaper tickets for earlier times. I am lucky mine has it so that on F-Sun before noon you can get in for $4. I'm sure that is how I will see it a few more times ;)

Kristy, my fingers are crossed for you. I hope this it for you!!! When will you go in for the actual IVF procedure?

I had my appt. The little bugger was hiding and I had a racing heart, so mine was way too easy to pick up :rolleyes1 She told me it is hard to find it early on, so to relax, and I told her I just am scared in general. She totally understood. But... before we had to go for the ultrasound, she found it twice and the 2nd time got a great reading of it. I am in the 150s still and she said she won't need to see me for 6 weeks and they will do the next ultrasound. I'll be around 18-19 weeks then so we should be able to tell the sex if we want to know.

I really do appreciate you all listening to this. I have had no where else I really coudl go! I am sure some of you might not wanted to hear about pregnant lady woes, but at the same time I hope you all understood how rough this has been on me. I was told I have about a 1% of miscarrying a this point since I am happily in my 2nd trimester :)

So now I can move on and put my focus on the important things like....

No AF!!! No AF!!! No AF!!!!

(though Denae, not having AF show would be happy for me if I were you because I would hope that would mean early menopause or something... I hate dealing with her ;))

Yeah Elaine!!!! What fantastic news! I know that deep feeling of relief...when I was pg with my first son, I had to have an early u/s. Well, just 3 months prior, I was in the same room, same tech - hearing that my baby had stopped growing. So when I saw that Lucas had a healthy heartbeat...it was just such a feeling of "ok - I can breath now!!!"!

Carla - well, looks like I am off on my dates, huh? I hope she comes for you naturally, but if she doesn't....at least there is an end in sight, huh? What position is she in these days? Wasn't she breech at one point? Are you 100% on a name?

NO AF! No AF!! NO AF!! (EXCEPT DENAE AND ANDREA!!!!!!).

Although I did have a dream the other night that I had 3 boys. We will see what the future has in store..;)

Elaine, I'm so happy for you! I don't think anyone here minds you posting at all; you are extremely supportive and you know how hard TTC can be. Do you want to know the sex? I would, but then I hate surprises.

Hello to everyone! I am thinking and praying for all of you. I better get back to work. :)

No AF! No AF!

Elaine: I'm so happy for you!!!! :cool1: No worries about talking about it here. We all know what you have been through and we want to support you

Andrea: Three is a good number ;) How is little Noah doing these days? Hard to believe he is 2 months now.

Well I think my asthma is raising its ugly head again. I have not had this problem in years. I'm worried about using an inhaler while TTC. Does anybody have any info on the use of inhalers affecting things?

Elaine Yeah!!!:cool1: So glad everything went well with your appt.

NO AF NO AF NO AF:goodvibes except fo Denae and Andrea!

Got my LG surge today.....here comes the eggy! Hope the sperm and eggy have a dance in the next 24 hours. I must have lost my mind:rotfl:
