I forgot my chant here...

NO AF!!!! NO AF!!! NO AF!!!!

Gurgi, heck at this point I'd pay ya to rub that belly ;) Go do it :teeth:
I love what you call reading a book :rotfl: Sending lots of baby dust to you this month!!!!

DznyLvr2005: I am so sorry you have suffered so many losses...my heart aches for you. I agree that a second opinion would be in order at this point. Good luck and keep us posted:grouphug:

momsully: Sorry about AF...that stinks. I was so hoping for a BFP for u! I don't know anything about metaformin. What does it help with?

skuttle: NO AF for U! No AF for U! Sorry you had such a bad evening. I understand about being surrounded by pregnant people. I was at a wedding Saturday night and there were a couple of pregnant women and at least 5 babies at the reception! Maybe I am just super aware of it now because we are TTCing but I swear I have never seen so many pregnant women! Keep us posted!

Gurgi: Go rub the belly....rub it for all of us, too!:goodvibes No AF for U! No AF for u!

As for me, we did AI one last night...I mean read a book:rotfl2: and we will be reading another book this afternoon. Worried that we may be waiting too late today. OPK was negative today. I got 3 positives yesterday, so I know I definitely surged. CM was perfect last night. I checked before AI one. I am obsessing too much!!!

QOTD: We don't have any kids yet, but if I am lucky enough to get PG we will definitely find out. I do believe it would be fun to be surprised, but I am not patient enough to wait. BTW, would luv a QOTD everyday...fun idea!

Baby dust to all. May we all be blessed with BFPs soon!

Have a great day ladies!

DznyLvr, have you had any blood tests done for clotting and immune issues? Have you had other karyotyping done on you and DH for something other than the Fragile X? I had it done and tested positive for a clotting disorder that is very common, but most people don't know they have it until they m/c and get tested.

Also, have they looked in your uterus with a scope? Sometimes, there are structural issues or other obstructions that can't be seen with u/s or even with an HSG/SHG.

I hope your RE can give you answers. I know I never "relaxed" during the pregnancy. I reluctantly had a shower on the condition that if something happened I wouldn't be repsonsible for sending all the gifts back. I'm still not relaxed.

A good friend of mine delivered her son still at 40w. She went on Friday for a visit and he was fine. They scheduled her induction for Monday (she never went into labor on her own and got induced with her other 2 kids). She went back on Monday and the baby was dead. They still have no idea why - 2 years later. So, there is no relaxing for me. And, it stinks.

Thankfully, my doctors are cool and tell me I can come in every 3 days to be put on the monitor if I want. I don't go THAT far, as long as I can feel her move.

Then, when she's born, there's a whole new set of things to worry about, I guess. So, we should just get used to the worry.

Elaine, I'm SO HAPPY your appointment went well!! I was thinking of you all that day hoping you got good news. Every appointment is a mini-victory. :goodvibes

Kelly, there are quite a few of us on here who took/take Metformin. I took it for my IVF cycle and it made a HUGE difference in my cycle. It was so much better. I don't have an insulin problem, but it really helped even things out. The s/e were awful for me. I was miserable the entire time I was on it, but it worked, so I can't complain too much about it.

Still nothing here. We're starting the eviction paperwork next week. I have my last closing tomorrow and then I'm done with work probably until January. Unless I get an unexpected burst of energy before that. We'll see. The way I feel now (throwing up, strep, flu), I can't imagine I'll ever want to do anything ever again!

When you all get pregnant and wonder if you should get the flu shot - get it. I got it, but it wore off and I got the flu a few weeks ago (who gets the flu in MAY?!?). It's awful. Just awful. Get the shot and save yourselves!

Carla - I cannot believe it is time for your little girl to be born. I just can't. Where did the time go? Are you still set on Catherine for a name? It's not too late to change it to Denae. :lmao:

DznyLzr - I am so sorry for your loss. It is devastating. We also suffered a m/c, and ectopic PG, and several chemical pregnancies, and it was heartbreaking. I had to have progesterone supplementation for my first pregnancy. If I had not had an ectopic before that, they never would have checked my levels, and I am guessing I would have lost Hannah, too. If you get PG again, insist on the blood tests right away, and every two days after, to make sure your levels are rising appropriately.

Kelly - Metformin taker, here. I had mild insulin resistance, which is what they think caused my infertility. After years of treatment, it was me who finally asked to be tested. I got a BFP exactly 3 weeks after I started Metformin. I did have some gastrointestinal issues, and lost 13 lbs. in 3 weeks while I was taking it.

Gurgi - Rub the belly. It can't hurt. A good friend of mine brought back from New Orleans some sort of fertility idol/charm. I can't say that it worked, but I think I got rid of it when we decided we were done - didn't want to take any chances.

No AF (unless you want it) No AF (unless you want it).

Denae

Hi Ladies!

I've just spent the last hour catching up on everyone - and now I don't have time to say everything to you all that I wanted, but just know that I'm cheering ya'll on! Love the chant... no AF, no AF, no AF.... :cheer2:

Alaska was beautiful, but DH and I decided that cruising just isn't our thing. We like taking more time to explore the towns we visit, so the limited time in port was a bummer for us. We did get some amazing whale watching, loved the glaciers, and enjoyed all the scenery and wildlife. I did get seasick, although it was sometimes hard to tell from morning sickness. DH's new nickname for me is "Barfy girl" as in "How ya doing, barfy girl?" or "feeling okay, barfy girl?" It's still mostly hitting just in the late afternoon and evening, which makes my childcare job easier since the kiddo is napping when I start to feel sick, and then is only up for about an hour during the nasty time of day for me. DH is trying to be supportive, but I'm just constantly tired and I feel awful in the evenings which is the only time we have to ourselves during the day. I'm not keeping up with housework, which makes him cranky, and I just can't get out for walks and "fun stuff" anymore with him.

Hope we see more BFP's here soon!!

Hello All :goodvibes

TinkerChelle: Go swimmers Go!!!! I hope this works out for you guys this time :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Gurgi: Love the "read a book" thing :lmao:

Bethany: I'm glad you guys had a nice time. I know what you mean about not having enough time to explore on shore. When DH and I took our first cruise we decided that we would go for the experience of the ship and look at the ports of call as a bonus and use that time to decide if we would like to spend a week there. So far with the 4 cruises we have been on we would only spend a week on St. Thomas/St. John. I acutally prefer sea days. I also hope your m/s passes quickly

Well so far all this chanting is working...only 2 days to go!!

NO AF!!! :cheer2: NO AF!!! :cheer2: NO AF!!! :cheer2:

I was literally holding my breath as I read this. That was one of my biggest fears when I was pg. It was totally irrational, and I had no reason behind it, but I just couldn't get it out of my head.

Hi from DeKalb! I live in DeKalb and work in downtown Chicago. Call me CRAZY!

Hi, Crazy - and you certainly are! I commuted to DeKalb when I was in school, but that was only from Naperville, which is half the distance, and more importantly, less than half the traffic. That's gonna get even harder when you get pg (and I just know you will) and can't hold your bladder for more than 30 minutes!

I wish the whole breakouts on my face would disappear. I'm 30 and it hasn't happened yet

First, congrats on the good appt! It's so reassuring to make it past the 1st trimester. I know what you mean about the acne - I rarely had it as a teenager, then as soon as I got pg last year, it got really bad, horribly bad. And it hasn't gone away since. I have been back on bcp now for over 2 months, and it still hasn't gone away. I can't stand it - I feel like I can't leave the house without makeup b/c it is so hideous!

Gurgi - just do it! Go rub the statue, it certainly can't hurt!

QOTD-If you got/are/have been pregnant would/did you want to know the sex of your baby?

We found out b/c we are both the type of totally curious people that can't keep a secret. We always tell each other birthday and christmas presents long before it is time, and sometimes just give them to each other because we can't wait. I think it's a personal choice, and everyone has the right to find out or not if they want to, that is if the baby is willing to show you! Luckily our son is no shy boy and spread his legs for the camera!

Lots of Baby Dust to everyone still trying! There has been so much good fortune on this thread! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Well....so much for that...starting spotting :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

I guess it is on to IUI.

Best of luck to the rest of you guys in the 2WW!!!!! :wizard:

Yay Elaine!! I'm so happy it went well!! :)

I only have a moment (since I need to be working, LOL)...but wanted to confess something to you girls ;)

I had heard a rumor about fertility statues at Ripley's Believe it or Not, and I Googled it. One article is here:
http://edition.cnn.com/US/fringe/9601/01-25/
If you Google "Ripley's Fertility Statues", you'll find a lot about them.

Anyways...they're in Orlando right now. Um, about 5 minutes from where I work. I have the most insane desire to pay the $15 and go in and rub the belly of the woman for a few minutes since there are over 1,000 confirmed cases of women getting pregnant within 3 months of touching the statue. You have to read some of the articles, they're interesting.

I don't know...am I crazy for wanting to do that? If I go on Saturday, that's supposed to be my "O" day anways...:rolleyes1

Hi Ladies, just checking in and this brought back some memories.

I did it 2 years ago and it did nothing for me. I even have pictures of them where I can see them daily. We didn't have to pay anything to see them then, they were in the corporate office and all we had to do was make an appt and you had to rub both of them all over. According to the Orlando website, they are still at the corporate office which is around the corner from the Belz Outlet and there shoudl be no cost to see them. The hours were 9am to 5pm M-F.

The whole reason we made our first Disney trip was so that I could go rub those statues, and here I am still no closer to having a baby then I was then. Please don't let me discourage you, but I got my hopes up too high then. I just remembered why it probably didn't work, my DH got angry and left me about a month after we got back from that trip and he didn't return for 1 1/2 months. At some point I may go back and rub them again.

Suzanne princess:

Thanks for the hug Allison :goodvibes I hope your cycle ends much better than mine. NO AF for Allison!!!! :wizard:

Sometimes it is really cool that my DH is a Schwans man. I really really need a pint of #310 (that is Peanut Butter Passion ice cream for those who don't know).

Chelle, my fingers are so crossed for you!!!!!!

Carla, I know someone who had that happen... actually I know of two people. Nothing is ever certain in life... that's part of why I have never been big on baby showers in general. But the stats are in your favor... in most everyone's favors here.

Rebecca  I am so very sorry! That ice cream does sound good though.

I'll still chant... NO AF!!! NO AF!!! NO AF!!!

Rebecca - I am sorry the hag showed up. :flower3:

Dreamer - You are soooo lucky to be married to a Schwan's guy. :thumbsup2

Well....so much for that...starting spotting :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

I guess it is on to IUI.

Best of luck to the rest of you guys in the 2WW!!!!! :wizard:

  Rebecca....I am sorry! I teared up a little when I read your post. I wanted a BNP for u sooo badly. If I don't get pg this time we will be moving on to IUI as well. Good luck next month!

Rebecca--so sorry. I hate this expression, but. . .hang in there.

By the way, so jealous. . .the Schwann's Nutty Buddy's are my most favorite thing ever. It's the chocolate in the bottom of the cone. MMMMM!

I don't know what is going on with me. I am on CD 40--which is way long. I would be three days late if I ovulated when I think I did, but who knows? I tested--a resounding negative. I have a Drs. appt in a couple weeks, so I'll have to wait and see. I am really not good at waiting though.

Rebecca - Sorry about AF. If I don't get pregnant this cycle we may try IUI as well. We are just not sure we want to go that route. I wish DH was an ice cream man. I love ice cream - especially Graeters Ice Cream. We actually pay to have it shipped in from Ohio!

Allison - My fingers are still crossed for you. I really hope this is your month. No AF! No AF!

Gurgi - Where are those statues? I will be in Orlando for a conference the end of the month (right after I O) and maybe I will go give them a good rub. I love the "reading a book!"

Tinkerchelle - Hope this is your month!

Good luck to everyone this month. I am traveling alot for work so hopefully I am home on the right days so DH and I can read a book!

GypsySue - I just realized you are in Denver. I am in Highlands Ranch and my office is in the tech center! Where are you located?

Thanks so much for the hugs girls. They really do help :goodvibes

The ice cream hit the spot as well. My DH really enjoys being a Schwan's Man and I don't mind the employee discount on all the yummy food and ice cream. ;)

I am a little nervous about doing the IUI. I hope this "simple" IUI works. I'm a little worried since they won't be doing follie ultrasounds or trigger shot but I'm willing to give it a try at least once.

Baby Dust :wizard:

Carla and Denae, thanks for sharing your met. experiences. I started it last night and definitely had some GI issues today. Should be a fun 8 weeks. Luckily school ended today so I'm not confined to when I can use the rest room.

momsully, Elaine and I both love Graeters ice cream. In fact, DH brought home a Graeter's grasshopper pie for my birthday yesterday. It was so delicious!

 Rebecca!

So like I said, I started the metformin yesterday. We'll see if it works for me or not. DH said I'll be on it for 8 weeks and then start Clomid again.
