Hi everyone. They had me on 75 mg of glonal f and that seemed to do the trick 1 18 1 16 2 15 and an eleven all on the left side. I go in for iui tommorrow and thursday and then the waiting game.

Elaine- I just don't know what to say, other than either way we're here for you.

Carla- did you tell your doc how anxious I am about your pregnancy? Maybe she could sneak you in sooner. ;) And you are right- some of the Nest people are downright mean! Learned my lesson. I much prefer you girls.

Everyone- thanks for the name advice. I believe we're sticking with it. Of course, she may come out and just not be a Vayla Katherine at all... Funny story- my MIL was in labor with my BIL, and he was supposed to be named Steven David. Well, she had been in labor all day and they were finally wheeling her to the delivery room, when she grabbed my FIL and started BAWLING- "I can't name him that!" FIL: "Uh, ok, what do you want to name him?" MIL: "I don't knooooooooowwww." BIL is now Paul Michael. :)

Nicole- I am so excited for you and your donor's eggs! Time will fly by- I can't believe we're getting so close to the holidays already.

Andrea (I never knew!)- I LOVE the name Lucas. BUT- my DH is like the world's BIGGEST Star Wars geek, so I could never do that to my child. All day long it'd be, "Luke I am your father." ANd he would laugh and laugh and laugh. I can just see it. :lmao:

LisaB- :woohoo:

So I have a question regarding monitoring your temps - I have never done this before! I just started taking them over the last few days. What does it mean if your temp goes down? or up? Which way should I be routing for??

The thing about temps is it takes AT LEAST a month to get a good picture. Up or down means nothing each day; what you are looking for is an overall picture.

Take your temp FIRST THING upon waking. Then don't think about it. What you'll eventually notice is that your temperature spikes just after you have ovulated. It'll stay up for a certain number of days (your "luteal phase") and then drop when you get your period. Or, stay high if you get pregnant.

So, don't obsess about your temp every day because the big picture is what matters and that is how you learn about your cycle: how long it is, when you ovulate, how long your luteal phase is, etc.

I'll see about giving you a link to my charts from when I was temping on fertility friend so you can get an idea of what they look like (and everyone's are different- I had pretty average cycles).

Well, AF showed up with a vengance today after a 41 day cycle (yep - 41 stinkin' days long!!). I didn't really think we'd acheived anything this month because DH only had 4 days where he thought it would be okay for us to go ahead with TTC despite him being unemployed, and those days were just before when I SHOULD have ov'd, but I actually didn't ov until a week later. By the time I did ov, he was back into "I don't think this is a good idea right now". I still kind of hoped by some miracle I was off on my temping or something, but I really knew AF was on her way eventually...

Poor DH is having a rough time with his unemployment. He went through 4 interviews with one company, including a 6 hour series of interviews and a big presentation for them, only to have them offer the job to the other candidate. That's thrown him into a spell of depression and he's feeling pretty discouraged. Oh, and our dryer completely died 10 days ago and we had to replace it, and last night all the sinks backed up and were overflowing disgusting stuff on the floors, leading to a very expensive emergency plumber visit...when it rains, it pours, I guess.

Becky, that is so funny about the name. I've been kicking around Katharine Shaila. This will KILL my mother because part of it is my RE's name. Ha. If I have a girl, ours could have similar names. :goodvibes But, if she doesn't get me my blood test, she's off the list of people to honor with a name! :teeth:

Bethany, I'm sorry everything is going wrong. :grouphug: I don't know why employers put people through those types of interviews just to turn them down. They should save that stuff for people they hire - and make the hire contingent on that big presentation, etc. :grouphug: :grouphug:

Nicole, that sounds great! Everything is moving along nice and fast. So you get all of the eggs she produces? Are they injecting the sperm using ICSI or letting them fertilize natrually? Then you get all of the resulting embryos....for siblings? :teeth:

Lisa, good news! Good luck tomorrow and Thursday. Then comes the dreaded 2ww. ;)

My mother is royally annoyed about the blood test. She keeps telling me to page her. If I call tomorrow and they tell me the office is closed, I'll page her. I know she won't care, but I'll still feel like a fool for paging just for an appointment. I might just have DH do it. When my DH calls, she knows I've reached a breaking point and it's serious. :) I could also just call my OB/GYN and wait for her to notice she hasn't heard from me. But, after everything we've been through, I don't want it to end that way. I'm still calling my OB/GYN because I don't want to show up at 12 weeks and say, "Hi! I'm 12 weeks pregnant!" I want him involved from the very beginning.

I can't relax. I'm a horrible mess. :rotfl:

Becky - thanks for the info. I am going to start taking my temp every morning now so I can start to understand my cycles even more. I tried to click on your link, but it just brought me to my own fertility friend page! I think I understand what you mean, though. I also did some investigation online - so I feel much more educated about BBT. :thumbsup2

Ugh- sorry kelly; there is some way to link so other people cansee your chart and I can't remember for the life of me. But, so long as you get the idea! ;)

Bethany- I SO know what you're talking about with the pouring of rain... Had to take DH to the dentist this morning; either he has to have a root canal (which will cost us nearly $500 out of pocket) OR they'll pull the tooth (costing us $55). Money is just SOOOOO tight right now since I can't work, I have no clue how we're going to make this work.

So funny you guys have talked about the name Lucas. That name has popped into my head the last few days and I've secretly been calling baby that in my head. Haven't mentioned it to DH yet as I don't know whether or not this is a name I like. :)

This suck a difficult month for me between the b/w and u/s and sourness in the breasts and naseaus and I haven't even got to the iui yet

Hi! I am new to this thread. I have been married for 4 1/2 years and my Dh has finally agreed that we can start to try. He has two boys from a previous marriage. Anyway, we should kick things off around the 10th of this month but I am so scared. We have never used any birth control so I am afraid that because we haven’t had an accidental pregnancy that something could be wrong. He is nearing 40 and I worry about genetic problems. I am so anxious and excited and scared all at the same time.

I so want to be pregnant for our Jan trip so that I can buy the baby some WDW gifts. Well, good luck to those of you still trying and congrats to those who have been blessed.

Hi and welcome! I'm pretty new as well. Your husband being 40 shouldn't affect your pregnancy in relation to genetic problems. It's the woman's increasing age that ups your chances, even though many aging women have perfectly healthy babies!

Also keep in mind- you don't have to be pregnant to baby shop!

Good luck!

True, true, but I must say- I was at WDW in May (before I got pregnant) and EVERYTHING for babies is either pink or blue, which makes it hard to buy anything. The only gender neutral stuff they had was Winnie the Pooh

And shhhh :ssst: , don't tell anyone, but:

I hate Winnie the Pooh.

I'm sorry, I know lots of people love him all stuffed with fluff, :rotfl2: , but I just don't.

I know that I can still baby shop, but I am so disapointed each month when I am not pregnant that I really want to wait until I am to start to enjoy it. I have waiting for this for our entire marriage!

I am 32 and worry about my age too.... this would be my first child. I wanted to have a baby before 30. You know.. I am a planner...

I'm disappointed to hear it's all gender specific. :( No Mickey or anything? It seems like everything is going pink or blue. I didn't find out what my son was, and don't plan on finding out what the next is. (It's the trend in my husband's family to make all boys, anyhow, lol). I just enjoy waiting to be surprised! It's hard to do that anymore!

I don't like Winnie the Pooh either! :rotfl2: . I try to keep it a secret.

I'll be 32 next month, dh will be 37 next month. Many women are waiting until their 30's to have kids. It does have its benefits.

Seriously- I scoured WDW for anything that was gender neutral, because my SIL is pregnant but didn't know the sex at that time, and I couldn't find anything.

and TAkitty, 32 is still a great age to have a baby!!!
