Any other anti-flea stuff besides advantage....

I have two dogs - I use Advantage plus flea medicine on both of them - It seems to last about 3 weeks on each dog before I have to put another one on - This stuff is expensive! Just wondering if anyone has found something else that works and is less expensive!!

We use Program - prevents the flea eggs from hatching, injections every 6 months. Use in combination with a flea repellent droplet. Found a good one in Walmart cheap and effective. Cant rememner the name sorry.

we use frontline, and you cannot put it on more than once a month because it would be unhealthy for your animal.

Hopefully nobody uses Hartz flea products. There was a thread several months ago about a woman whose two cats were severely sickened by it, one died. Maybe someone can find the thread and post it, I'll look too.

I have used Frontline for years with both my dogs. It works really well. We haven't had a flea problem since.

I used Zodiak on my dogs, it seemed to work great. My new dog is on K9 Advantix, but I may switch him to the Zodiak stuff as it seemed to be cheaper. Depends on what the vet says tomorrow.
