Any opinions on the hacker who got naked

Eh, if they don't want naked photos of themselves popping up on the internet, don't post such photos in a place where they can be hacked. Better yet, keep your clothes on whenever there's a camera around.

I never heard of about 2/3 of the people on the list. Maybe they should be glad for the publicity.

It's hard for me to feel bad for a celebrity but I feel for Jennifer Lawrence in this particular situation because her pics seem to be the only pics anyone cares about seeing.

Ding ding ding. I have to believe because this happens so freaking often that most of the time it's staged. Sex sells, and this seems to be the new way to get notice.:crazy2:

I mean if you don't want naked photos leaked.. don't take them. Easy peasy.

I like what Matt Walsh wrote.

Yes--if you do something like this (pose), maybe you shouldn't.

But the people who hacked to find these pictures and them shared them, no different than a peeping Tom.

Perhaps she should not have taken private photo. But this isn't about her career. It is about people doing what they were not entitled to do.

I have to agree, don't put them out there if you don't want them seen.

Maybe it wasn't the best idea to put the pictures on a cloud but I'm not going to blame the victims. The hacker broke into a secure network and stole personal property from these people.

Personally I find it hard to believe that that many celebrities would have nude pictures. I believe that a few of those may be real and the rest are probably photoshopped like Victoria Justice's. The one name on that list that I find really hard to believe had nude pictures is Dove Cameron.

Huge violation of their privacy, and I'm grossed out by how many guys I know are all "cool" about it. It's creepy. And your own personal cloud is not supposed to be "out there." This makes me glad that I have no financial info backed up on the cloud. Today it's sexy photos, tomorrow it could be identity theft. Either way, its a crime.

People need to remember once a pic is uploaded to the net or sent in an email even if its to their own personal "cloud", they have lost all control of it.

Um....are people not understanding what happened here? This was not staged for publicity. These were photos that these people took on their phones, not photos that they 'put out there'. Many of the photos were taken from backup files on iCloud - for those of you with iPhones or iPads, these are the backups that your device automatically makes when you sleep the device and connect it to power. And it's not just photos that are in those backups.

Sooooo.....it's OK for hackers to get into a celebrity's phone backups, take their personal photos and information, and sell them all over the internet?

Absolutely not, I just said nude pics wont hurt a celebrities career, but the violation of privacy is a whole nother matter

No, of course it isn't "ok". I highly doubt anyone thinks it's OK. The point is..once you send over electronic means be it email, your personal cloud, a website whatever...it is "out" there so don't be surprised when it comes back to bite you in the hiney (so to speak)

eh, at the moment, we dont know where they are actually from. iCloud is what the hacker claims... but the way it was guessed is through brute forced... so it isnt exactly fully Apple's fault.

pretty crazy stuff i must say, Kate Upton is another huge one... and based on comments, it seems to be stolen from Kate's ex's iCloud or wherever they pulled it off...

Also, this hacking isnt just 1 person, its a ton... someone just broke his silence and got greedy. So far, 1 guy has been "found." not sure how fbi will proceed with this...

How many people are we talking here? Is that common practice taking nude photos? Maybe it's because I am over forty but when the clothes come off the lights go out!!! No one wants to see that and I consider myself in decent shape.:lmao:

It seems the general public thinks any kind of invasion of privacy of a celebrity is okay.

Apple patched an exploit in Find My iPhone today that supposedly was used by at least some of the hackers.
