Any opinions about the HoJo?

The water park was open in Feb., but we found it a bit cold, for going swimming. Although there were some brave kids, and when I say cold, it was cold enough for a zip hoody in the morning and at dark.

Do they have the pool/kid's water park open during the off season? Me and DS are planning a trip for February and HoJo is on our list of possibilities but we need a pool to swim in (We're from Canada so yes we will be our swimming at 10am as the weather is warm enough for us lol).

Yes, the pool and water park are open during the off-season. However, if they plan any maintenance on the facility, they will pick the cooler weather months to do that in. You will do best to contact the hotel directly either by phone or e-mail to ask if there is planned maintenance and what the dates are. They may not have made that decision this far out yet, so I would check again as you get closer to your dates. I did notice last time that the information about the refurb dates got posted to Hojo's website in advance; I just don't know how far in advance they make those plans and inform the public.
