My family and I are considering taking a Fireworks cruise out of WL. Has anyone taken this excursion? Pro's and Con's.

DNeph and I did a Fireworks cruise out of WL last year and enjoyed it. We had a wonderful dinner at Artists Point - then met a fellow DISer and her son by the pool and the boys swam together until time for our cruise. Our 'captain' took us for a ride around the waterway - shared some 'inside tips', drove around Discovery Island, let each of the boys steer for a bit and pulled up back by WL to watch the Electric Water Parade. Then we cruised over past CR and found our place in front of MK to watch Wishes. My only complaint was that our boat did not have the audio of the show, there were no other boats around us that we could have 'eaves-dropped' on - and the wind was blowing away from us. Fortunately we had all seen Wishes several times and knew the jist of the show, so we could follow the story of the fireworks. Other than no sound it was a wonderful night, CM was delightful and meeting/discussing WDW with another DISer was great fun - we were both travelling alone with our boys, so the boys also enjoyed making a friend! This was also last June before they raised the prices and served food. Enjoy! :smooth:

We went last year and we had a great time. We did have a boat that could eaves drop and it was really awesome. I would do it again. We had 15 of us, so we needed two boats.
