If so what are your favorite oils? What are you favorite oils to pack for Disney.
I'm new to oils so I don't have a lot. However, I wish that I found the sooner.
Because of some health issues Clary Sage has been my favorite. Right now I'm using it to help me sleep. I put a drop under my tongue. I cannot stand the taste. However, it is helping me sleep better. I use doTERRA what oils do you use? I think that I have turned into an oil junkie. :rotfl2:

I never leave home without my oil of oregano.

If I notice my kids getting the sniffles and a slight cough, I rub the oil on the soles of their feet before bedtime. It helps them sleep through the night without coughing and I find that the cough never gets a chance to develop into a nasty, in your chest kind of cough.

I use Eucalyptus, Geranium, Rosemary, Lavender, a orange oil of some type. I also like some of the more perfume type oils. Sandalwood, patouli, jasmine.

I use Young Living. My top oils are: lavender, gentle baby (blended oil) & ylang ylang.

There's a really interesting blog posts series on the big essential oil companies.

My friend uses Young Living for everything, and raves about it. A few years ago she got me this little bottle of something called "Thieves" and told me to swallow a few drops every time I felt I was starting to get a cold. I work with young kids who sneeze and cough on me all the time, so I figured I would give it a try. I swear, it works! I have not had a full blown cold in over 3 years!

I can't stand the tast of it, so I fill a teaspoon with sugar-free DaVinci syrup and put a few drops of Thieves on top of it. I try to literally throw it down my throat so I don't have to taste it, but it is worth it. My whole family uses it now and we have never been so healthy. Go figure. :confused3

Another oil fanatic here!
Been using the for awhile making soaps but got introduced to doterra about a year ago. Needless to say they are my brand of choice!
My FAvorites are the mood managers
Serenity and Balance.
I mix them together :)

Where do you buy essential oils and what exactly do you use them for?

Yes, I run a home business making lotion bars and lip balms and I use essential oils in them every day. Funny the original poster mentioned Clary Sage because it is the main scent in my original bar which is great for eczema. :)

This is very interesting! I've not heard of it before!!

Yes Oregano is a powerhouse oil! It was even recently discussed on dr oz
I put it in a capsule along with on guard( a blend) and it knocks anything out before it takes hold.

I put it on my kids feet too.

Here's a great reference site to see what you can do

I use Oil of Oregano any time I am the least bit sick as well, have not been "really" sick in years and years -can not get anyone else in the family to take it though -and well, they get sick.
Have never heard of putting it on the kids feet-how do you do that? Straight, or mixed with another oil, like almond? and how many drops? Great idea!

I am off to look up a few others mentioned here!

i use coconut oil for the carrier but you can use any oil. I do 1 or 2 drops with the 1-2 drops of the oil, and just rub it in.
I am also using it right now on my DS, he has a wart on his toe, and a plantar wart, both are nearly gone from applying Oregano and Frankincense mixed with coconut oil.

I have gotten my son off of singulair by given him capsules with lemon, lavender, and peppermint oils. If he is getting sick I also a blend called On Guard. Oregano is a wonderful antibiotic.

I use essential oils for homemade soaps and lotions, but have never used them for medicinal purposes. I will have to do a little research and see if I can find something to help DS with his allergies. He has problems all summer long.

I just bought a starter kit. I'm hoping to help our seasonal allergies & cold prevention during the cold & flu season.

I'll still get my flu shot though.

I was just looking at essential oils today! Does anyone know of an oil or a combination that could be used to treat GERD??

Frank is my all time favorite oil. If I could only have one that would be it.

Flu Bomb

I teach and this works wonders.
