Any one on 7-29-06 / 7 Night Western!!!! Is Back

Hope everyone has a safe, fun Holiday weekend. Ours will be quiet, DH has to work - they sponsor a special Memorial Day event in our town...

Was just scanning the DCL site, wondering what's up with the "magical rates" still being offered for our cruise? (4th week now) Are we going to be the only ones on the ship? Hey could be good - Maybe we'll all get upgraded. :yay:

One last thing - with all the destruction still evident in Cozumel, what does your family plan to do in Port?

Hi All,

Thanks for the compliments on the kids....I hope they are as well behaved on our cruise as they were at the wedding. :thumbsup2

We don't have any big plans this weekend except that summer baseball practice is starting. DH is coaching a tournament team so that will keep us busy. It was nice to have 2 weeks off but the kids were getting antsy so practice should be good to tire them out :teeth:

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Jen

Hi Nextcruz,

I've read here and at cruisecritic on the Cozumel board that there is still a bit of destruction that's why we will be tendering.

We are planning on going to Paradise Beach for the day. Sounds like a fun place.

Aloha,
Jen

HI ALL!!!

Well, we have had quite the last few weeks. Today feels like the very first time I could relax online. Whew! After the graduation Sunday, life continued its whirlwind! 3 am Monday morning found the gals from the trip that were coming down to WDW at our home. We piled 7 of us, luggage from everyone...and an extra for me...pre-planning for cruise! And Abby's golf clubs into the Suburban for our trip to the airport...an hour away. The girls had a ball! A few moments got a bit harried, but overall...it was extremely successful. DH had thought that I planned too many meals...he was sending advice via the phone! Well, their favorite part of their WDW trip were the meals! O'Hana's, 50's Prime Time, and Le Cellier!

Hey Jen...your kids looked beautiful!!! My boys do go ahead and get dressed up for me. Maybe they would do that for you for one more night! ;)

Well, hope you all have a great weekend. Sorry so long!

:sunny: Morning! It is getting closer, ;) we are going to be under 2 months in 2 days :) . :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :woohoo: :cool1: I also wanted to get us back on page one. :goodvibes

Way to go Helen!!! :cool1: How did your back do over the weekend???

Everyone else enjoying their weekend??? We headed in to Star Wars Weekends, and headed right back out! It was an absolute nuthouse in there. We tried to hit Typhoon Lagoon today, but with the early opening for resort guests, we bailed. We will probably try to head back over tonight. We shall see. There is some definite mini-putt in our forecast though!!!

Flo, sorry I haven't PM'd you on the NCIS thing. Since getting all the girls back off, and bringing in my boys...I have been exhausted. If the info is correct...we are in agreement!

Well, need to go...kids are wanting egg sandwiches for lunch!

:tink:

Tif: Not a problem. ;) We can talk in 2 months. :thumbsup2 Enjoy your day what ever you decided to to. You have had a couple of busy weeks. :)

Good Evening!!! We had a laid back day. Did the Home Depot and EXPO thing. Florida has a hurricane supplies no sales tax thing going, so we stocked up on a few things. We headed back over to Typhoon around 3 and it was perfect! No afternoon storms!!! :sunny: The kids had a ball...especially the big kid, Tom. I sat with all the stuff and my book. People I was sitting next to live about an hour and a half from us. Amazing!

Tomorrow...Soarin'!!! Tom is so looking forward to going. We did it last week with the bball girls. Last week we did O'Hana's with the bball girls. The other mom and I got to be Mom Lani 1 and Mom Lani 2 and hold the limbo stick. The girls were the passers out of the lei's! All in all, it was a riot. Lunch at the 50's Prime Time though, took the cake! We even had a young lady actually lick her plate clean at which time, they placed it up on a plate rack on the wall!!!!

Have a night filled with pixie dust all! We are getting closer!!! :Pinkbounc

;) Tif, we did Soran in CA when we were there. We went on it a couple of time. I just loved that ride. :) I am so glad they put one in Epcot. :goodvibes Did you see the new sow at MGM yet? The one with the cars. I think it is called Stunt don't remember what else. :) That looks good to. Have fun. :sunny: FLo

Hi,

Hope all is well. Tif I really wanna go on soaring. I was set to go on it last year but then my back went.

Was the food good @ Ohanas? We have an ADR booked for the Friday before the cruise. We loved the Kona cafe so figured we would try Ohana.

Dave is away doing a bike ride with his friend @ the moment. So its just me and the dogs here.

Flo - Palo is my best restauant. I am so looking forward to my meal there. Oh I just remembered theres brunch as well :thumbsup2

I simply just cant wait until Im @ the port and checked in.

Oh well offf for breakfast.

Take care
H ;)

Helen -- congrats on the first place! WTG!

Tif -- I'm green with envy that you are in WDW. I hope you have a great time!

Yes..congratulations Helen!

Tif, reading your posts on WDW is getting me more excited for our upcoming WDW/DCL vacation. Our boys would love to go to Star Wars weekend but can't make it b/c of school. I don't know how many different colors of lightsabers they have :darth: :teeth:

I'm still on the lookout for the over door shoe hanger thing.

Also wondering if anyone brings their own beach towels or just use the ones from the ship? Or maybe i can just buy DCL towels :thumbsup2

We've been having summer weather here already....mid 80's and sunny....so really starting to get into the summer swing of things.

Aloha,
Jen

Jen

Im sooo jealous I would give anything for some nice weather, it has rained all week here and its only in the 50's

We dont bring our own towels -but I usually buy one on holiday.

I've been hearing about the mixology classes where they teach you to drink opps  I mean mix cocktails! I fancy doing that. I also want to do the galley tour.

What does evetyone else fancy doing. I dont think the martini, wine or beer tasting is for me.

Tif have fun @ wdw

Thanks for all the congratualations - I just need to get down to training Floss to compete, little horror.

Yesterday she stole and ate a whole packet of crumpets. Well I assume it was her ;)

Have a good day -
Helen :wave2: x

Helen,

I so know what you mean about stealing crumpets! Our Libby is notorious!!!! The vet had us put her on a diet. The thing he didn't realize is that she would sneak into her food. She learned how to open the container...so we duct taped it. She then took the duct taped off. So we put two pieces of tape across the top of the container...and two pieces going up and down. It looked like a tic tac toe grid. She would take all the tape off and get into her bag and eat it. So then we put the whole configuration into a closet. No luck...she can open levered doors and sliding doors. So we added an alarm. The little minx actually knows when we have forgotten to turn the blooming thing on!!!!! We are becoming quite vigilent! She has lost about 5 pounds in the last three months! Now if I could do the same!!! UGH!!! We are missing our baby girl quite a bit right now. She usually travels to Florida with us, but we all flew this time. That meant we needed a babysitter. She actually is allergic to her shots, so she can't quite be boarded.

Today, the world was good! We did Blizzard Beach after 3 in the afternoon. A great way to go! I highly recommend it! Tomorrow is serious golf and an all important hair appointment for me! WOOHOO! Well, I need to run. Talk with you all tomorrow!

Best of days!
tif

;) Helen & Tif: It must be all dogs. Mine knows how to furn the door Knobs and let herself out of a room if she wants. We had a fridge delivered and my husband had he locked up in the bedroom all of a sudden she was standing next to him. He thought the delivery guys were going to jump on the counter. I have a German Shepard. But they know all they have to do is give you those eyes. I so love animals you never know what they are going to do next. :)

Flo,

What is your Shepard's name?? Libby is actually Liberty Grace and she is a yellow lab. We went ahead and went through a breeder for the first time. We had always done the pound, foster pet outreach, and shelter dogs. Somehow that usually led to heartache. Libby has truly been an answered prayer!

Tomorrow is 50's Prime Time again...the boys haven't been in a while and they are soooo excited! I am looking forward to the onion rings...though I know I shouldn't have them! Golf went well today and then they are wanting to practice again tomorrow!
Their coach is really trying to get Abby to see her potential and really focus there for the summer. She is hitting a hybor club a consistent 250 yards, which is great for male, much less female!! He said that if she works, she should have a full ride to the school of her choice! Easy to say before they even hit high school, but a nice boost to the ego. Both the boys are on course for the same kind of hope! We shall see.

Hope everyone has a great day!!! We are into June!!!! I don't want to wish away summer, but I do wish we could just live on the cruise! How perfect would that be???

Pixie dust all!
