Shop! Shop! Shop!
I am having so much fun! My DS7 just got a pirate costume and he looks so cute!! DS9 got a glow in the dark POTC shirt from Target. I got glow stick earrings and I thought it would be fun to get glow in the dark nail polish.

We are going to the parks. My cell is 949-633-6311. We were thinking we might be swimming at AKL on Friday night. Might be a fun place to meet. I'm sure I can let people in or is that not allowed? We're not DVC members so we're out of that loop!

We will definitely be park hopping. DH and I worked at DL and go all the time so we are going to hit the MK quick and spend most of the time at AK and Epcot. We went in 1990 but there's so much more now!

I will wear a goofy shirt to our cruise meet. I used to collect Goofy stuff but then I had kids! All this Disney business is getting me back in the spirit. My Christmas tree has over 100 Goofy ornaments and we all have Goofy stockings! Crazy!

I keep looking at the first page trying to get everyone's name and kids and then put all the stories with names. It's like a puzzle!

BTW, I did get some cruise docs in the mail today!! Even though I already filled them out online it was so fun getting them.

Are some of you being picked up by a shuttle from WDW? That would be funny if we all ended up on there. We need a code word!!

Hey ya'll. Here's my cell in case you need to reach me -- 214-801-0352. We'll be at the GF late Wednesday night, through Sat. a.m. We are doing MGM Thursday morning, MK in the early evening, Epcot Friday morning, MK or Epcot that night and MK early Sat. We're being picked up at the hotel at 10:30 on Sat.

On Saturday, the plan is for all four of us to be wearing white t-shirts with a large yellow mickey on them with his sunglasses, surrounded by blue clouds. (courtesy of Triplefigs).

Valerie -- I agree -- it is hard to keep all the names straight. I'm terrible at names so I'll apologize right now for forgetting/mixing up names, but can't wait to meet you all in person.

Valerie- congrats on getting your docs today! We will be taking the shuttle on Saturday to the Port. We will be wearing Lime Green Disney Shirts with 0729 on the back. Just clue me if I stare at you and endlessly debate opening my mouth to say hi.

Carla - Ansley sounds just like Emily! "Mom - did you pay for that?" (free sample at the MD's office) Mom - are you ALLOWED to carry coffee around Barnes and Noble - Mom the speed limit is 25 and your going 27. .... She worries so much and I keep telling her - hon - I think I've got this grown up thing down by now (well, sort of... Disney doesn't reallly count does it?

Flo - we will be thinking about you in WDW and trying to post once or twice - you have done an amazing job at organizing everything and making us all feel welcome and a part of the group. You certainly are owed a Mickey Bar by me!

Tif - what a great group of guys you have. You much be really pround of them. I think it was the PTB (powers that be) that were giving you a little pat on the back for a mom (and dad) job done right. Abby is lucky to have such great brothers (even if she doesn't think they are so great sometimes)

Jen - we've been shopping too today! My dd decided that maybe she would dress up a little - as long as she's not TOO dressed up. I'm working on shoes other than flip flops - but hey - if she wears a skirt or a dress I'll keep my mouth shut! I'll bet you will have a lot of fun in your pool when it is finished.

Marci - I'm glad you have a good place to take Jesse while you are gone. I know you are nervous and worried about her.

Helen - congrat on the holiday. I know the six week feeling! It was nice you could go out with your mom today. When do you leave the UK for Florida?

We get in late Friday night and am staying at the Hyatt airport. I am sure I will be and not be able to sleep to aleast 12:00 If any one can not sleep here is mine two two four six two nine one zero nine eight. Also, we will be at the port early and my phone will be on if any one want to call.

Jen- That is great that your kids want to get dressed up. I don't even want to do that. That is also great that you got two suitcases packed. I don't have one complet yet. I finally got my son to get his shirts all together.

I am bummed because I wanted to get to the port early. My family's motto is "Hurry up and wait" because I HATE being late!
My DS's wanted to hit the pool on the boat first thing so I hope they hurry!!

Hi all,

Its 2 am here and yet again I cant sleep! So I end up wanderin to the computer and doing the countdown!!!

We will be at the Poly on Wed. night until Sat Am. The shuttle will get us around 10:30-11:00. We've never stayed there before so I hope its nice.

Lisa we have dinner Adr for Ohana @ 5pm on the Friday so we'll be at the poly, feel free to say HI or join us for a drink

I just called and my shuttle is not leaving AKL until 12:30.

Valerie, we have used the dcl transfers 3x and each time the bus did not leave until around 12:30. Last Aug it was 12:45 and it killed us to know while we were waiting in a hotel lobby, some people were on the ship. Therefore this time we have booked a towncar to leave SSR @ 9am !

We are still trying to decide what to do on Friday - actually no plans!! We have discussed Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach - anyone have experience with either? Or would Kennedy Space Center be a better choice? Help?

I got a temporary today on my tooth - Now I'm ready to eat everything! Tif - thanks for the encouragement - I really like my dentist - I just didn't like the pain of the broken tooth! Flo- can you believe that your DH's dentist came in on a Sunday to take care of his tooth! That is awesome!

We are staying Friday night at the Raddison at the port, and I reserved the 1st shuttle out several weeks ago - 10:00am. So, we should be at the port by 10:05!! Last time we did this and we were actually in the terminal and checked in before 11:00am - kids clubs and all! (Helen, I'll look for you because you will probably arrive before me!)

I like the recommedation of posting photos, I have enjoyed the ones of Jen's children, Flo's trip to the Ballpark, and Helen's photo. THANKS TO FLO FOR ALL HER PATIENCE WITH ME - I now know how to post my own photos!!
Here we are at Hilton Head, SC last August - The kids are now much taller, and I have much shorter hair! Unfortunately, I did not have a more recent photo of all 4 of us together - I'm sure that won't be a problem after next week and a couple of trips to shutters!

Great pics! Love being able to put faces with names...but I'm sure after a couple of days in the parks in the hot Florida sun by the time we meet I'll mix up the names

I'm planning to do a bit more shopping tomorrow so I'll pick up name tags.

Well...today while at Costco, DH says "I think we need new suitcases" So we ended up buying new ones. I had to transfer the things from the 2 I already packed to the new ones but I have to admit that things fit better....besides our old ones had broken wheels, etc.

Isn't it funny how when you go on vacation all of a sudden the things you have isn't good enough....you buy new clothes, shoes, luggage, pirate outfits, etc.

Well I did not really get very much sleep - too excited and I've got so much to do!!!

We've not even been for our Tcheques and money yet as Dave has been working away!!I can't start the suitcases as they are in the loft!

Well ive just been reading the first few pages of this thread again - I joined 8 months out - now its only 8days -

Seven more days until our awesome trip to celebrate my DH and DS's birthdays on the Magic!! My DS (11) is so excited, he is beside himself!

Helen, I think you mentioned your b-day is on 8/17, mine is 8/13. I hope you plan on celebrating early, Disney style !!!!

Safe travels to all, we will not be leaving home until 7/28, so if anyone forgets anything that can only be purchased in Washington, DC, give me a holler and I'll do my best to help..

It's all 3 of my kids birthday's!! Youngest (girl) turns 8 on July 31 and the twins turn (boy/girl) turn 11 on August 4!!! I'm sure the servers will think I'm lying when they keep delivering cake!

Wow - Lots of celebrations!

Marci - My 40th was this spring, (It wasn't nearly as bad as my 39th) and I actually asked for a summer Disney Cruise with the kids along for my gift!! Forget the party or jewelry - just send me on the 7/29 Western!

Jen - I was thinking of name tags, too. That's a great idea for our Cruise Meet.

Shopping - YES!! You DO need lots of new luggage, clothes, shoes for a cruise!! Even found DH a POTC t-shirt today for Pirate Night.

Valerie - Don't be upset about the 12:30 shuttle. I just read a thread this week that said the cruise terminal was much less crowded by 1:00 or so. This will make your embarkation a breeze! You'll have no lines and will still be able to make the buffet!

Did any of you see the thread below Cozumel Dock News? If that's true it will be very exciting not to tender!!

We are doing a private snorkeling tour on cozumel when we go there on July 26th on the July double dip cruise. I just receieved an email from the person telling me she heard on the radio that the Disney Magic will be the first ship to dock on the new dock on that day. Here is part of what she emailed me.

"I just heared in the radio that you will be the first ship who will dock at the Punta Langosta pier this months heyheyhey...we almost have 2 piers fixed already..."

Good news for all who will be getting off at cozumel.

Punta Langosta Pier Returns to Partial Service

By the end of July the outer band of the Punta Langosta Cruise Ship Pier should be ready to receive ships. This will be the second pier to return to operation on Cozumel. The pier should be totally repaired by next November when all three mooring sections will be operational. The base slabs and aprons will be reinforced with a mixture of concrete and a zinc alloy and the columns with steel in order to withstand future hurricanes.


Guess we can check on July 26 web cam to see if it's true, but sound like good news!
