Any one living near the I-95 Fires

Just saw on CNN they had to close part of I-95 because of a forest fire. I hope all of our Florida DIS members are OK! I am a bit concerned that the roads will be closed for our trip next week, I know there are alternate routes but I am still worried

It is a very serious situation. At least one home was destroyed last night due to the huge brush fire near New Symerna Beach. They are predicting thunderstorms tonight, but they fear the lightening will spark more fires.

If you will be travel I-95, please be careful. There have been some horrible accidents there due to smoke. They've been closing he highway part of each day, but even when it is open, visibility is poor.

Oh dear. Brush fire season again. I am heading down next week, and I will keep an eye on this. I was at Disney in May 2001, and it was raining ash at times, and my car at CSR was covered in it. Smoke smell was everywhere. Pretty scary stuff.
