Just got off the phone with a CM checking on my dining reservation at Chef Mickey on June 14th and I asked if she knew what the hours for the parks would be then to adjust my time and she said ......"the hours for the month of June have not been set yet as to the drop in attendence. There is serious talk about keeping our FALL HOURS for the month of June due to the lack of help and visitors."

I thought I'd give everyone a heads up! Hopefully this will not happen as we all plan months ahead and to find his out now could ease the pain.

Oh my, lets hope this situation changes. I do not have a trip planned for that time, but I can only imagine the disappointment for folks that do. I would imagine that DTD would be overrun if this ends up being the case.

Well, I guess if this turns out to be true, that'll leave me more time to enjoy being at my new "home.":)

Or we'll end up leaving Disney property to spend our money elsewhere at night. I won't fight a crowd of people at DTD. We'll go off property to eat and shop.

I have a trip planned June 3 to 13, the shorter hours probably won't affect my plans, except perhaps trying to see the fireworks/spectromagic at MK.

I'm old, I remember whem DisneyLAND was always closed Mondays and Tuesdays during off-season.

I agree with you. There's so much else to do at WDW besides the Theme parks, it doesn't concern me too much if they close early. We can still do so many things-rent bikes, mini-golf, shop, visit resorts, swim, and like you said, enjoy OKW (sit on our porch and watch the golfers? That's DH's idea of vacation, unless of course he's playing golf!)

Thanks for the heads up. I certainly will keep an eye out for the hours more closely now to adjust plans if necessary. (I hope they don't cut out e-ride nights during June like they did the entire month of May last year when we were there. I was disappointed about that last year. )

Thanks for the info. I will be watching for the times now. We'll be there June 28 to July 3. We really hope they will stay open like they usually do in the summer months. We love to be in the parks at night. Of course this will not change our plans, even if they aren't. We will still be there enjoying every minute of it no matter what.

Thanks for the warning. Due to this kind of nonsense, we bought Park Hopper Plus tix which don't expire. If the parks don't have good hours, we'll wait til next visit to use the tickets. I have had enough of $50 tickets for a park that closes at 7 and has no parade! I understand the economy is bad, but when the weather is brutal it's no fun unless you can "take the afternoon off" and return at night. We returned last week "at night" and the park was virtually ready to close. It didn't seem empty to me... There were long lines and we saw very little.

Thanks for the heads up!! :(
I have actually been considering changing our April plans to June. Well......if I'm going to be facing the same situation.....forget it!
Now with most airlines waiving the fee to change flights, AND with the huge cut in hours for the week we are going.....
I really thought about waiting til June.
But.....not if they will be cutting hours then too!!

Cant' wait!!!!!!:D :D

I hope it's not true. Trying to get in as much as possible on my AP's. I was really looking forward to some long nights at disney.

I can't get the code rate (CZF) at either CSR or ASMo for our trip the first 2 weeks in June. I called the minute they came out a few weeks ago and no luck. ASMo is completely booked except for the prefered rooms. Maybe this means things will pick up a little?? :)

Just remember how much info the CM on the phones really have. They hear rumors that don't always come true. All they know for sure is what they see on their screen and it will be a while before this info is out. And it's always subject to change up 'till that day.

I don't put much faith in what info I hear from the CM's.

I have gotten SO much wrong info from them over the years.

From my experience the CM's are never wrong. In fact the one I have been talking to who is always reliable is telling me that they will have a whole new park hours program coming in June due to cutbacks. For example, MK is going to open at 1 p.m. daily and close 1:05 p.m. daily. In between, they will have a 60 second version of the daily parade (one float that circles around Town Square), one 30 second stage show (Mickey and Minnie come out, wave, and leave), 15 second windows for your fastpass time and the ability to get a second fastpass 20 seconds after you get the first one, the ability to enter and exit a ride at the same time so you can tell everyone you went on, box lunches with a bottle of water at Crystal Palace (for which PS's are a necessity), and an announcement over the PA system at 30 seconds before closing telling you fireworks are about to begin which will consist of Chip n Dale waving sparklers in the air at the exit gate. But don't worry the merchandise shops and balloon vendors will stay open until 2 hours after closing.

onceuponadream-- CSR probably has a convention there during your time. And ASMo NEVER has discounts - they always fill at rack rates so there never is a reason for Disney to offer the discounts there.

ASMO does sometimes have discounts. I've stayed there three times using AP discounts.

And it's possible for them to sell out the rooms allotted for the discounts, and still have a lot of empty rooms left out of the ones allotted for rack rates.

ASMU was pretty full the first week of March but it was mostly kids' singing and dance groups.

zulaya--I knew that it was difficult to get the discounts at ASMo and CSR. I asked the CM to check for 2 rooms to book at regular prices as well and like I said only preferred rooms were left at all. I take this as a somewhat positive note that resorts (at least that one) are filling up and the summer may be busier than anticipated :)

We have been booking our meals for our upcoming vacation (60 day window) and were suprised that Mama Melrose's was only booking dinner from 3:30 to 5:00. The CM said that May's hours have not been set yet, due to attendance and the war. :(

I have seen many reports recently which describe the parks as being packed or at least very full. Is this a way to WDW to make up some of the lost profits from a year ago? It could backfire if people go during the warm months, expecting long hours, only to find short hours. Ths could cut down on future return visits.
