Also, research the deluxe dining plan thoroughly. It is a lot of food and a lot of time spent in restaurants, many people if they're new to WDW want to see more of the parks and spending so much time in restaurants it is difficult to see as much. The basic dining plan will save you a bundle too...
!
I'll just say this about the DxDP versus the
DDP. I would never, ever, buy the DDP (unless it was "free.")
It will *only* save you money, if you already plan to eat pretty strictly to the confinements of the plan -- If you want a counter-end lunch every day, plus dessert... if you want a TS dinner every night, picking expensive entrees, plus dessert, etc.
For me, for $45 per day -- I'd rather skip dessert, and eat 2 moderate-priced entrees in table service restaurants for lunch and dinner.
Similarly, if you want to do QS breakfast, skip lunch, and eat a big dinner... then the DDP won't save you money (or very little).
The DxDP is certainly more expensive -- you can eat cheaper. And it *can* be too much time in the restaurants. But, personally -- I dislike counterservice meals. I like taking a long mid-day break for a casual lunch, as a nice break from touring. I prefer higher quality food then you typically find at most of the counterservice. I don't like carrying loaded trays, while looking for a table.
So there are people who use the DxDP for 3 meals per day.
But personally, on our last trip... we did 2 table meals per day. A couple times, we did CS breakfast. But we also did quite a few 2-credit meals.
BUT.... Looking at your plan, I would have 1 concern about the deluxe -- You are staying at a value resort. We stayed at a monorail resort -- meaning several signature restaurants and dining experiences were at our resort, or a short-monorail ride away. Narcoose's, California Grill, etc.
But if you're staying at a value resort, you don't even have table service available locally. Thus, you will need to "commute" for the vast majority of meals. If you do a lot of CS on the deluxe plan, then you are really wasting the value.
Thus, if you're really not sure what type of TS/CS mix you are going to use, I might skip a dining plan altogether.
