Any OCTOBER guests received FP+ testing invite?

It appears that this poster has a split stay (at Pop), so it's probably the reason why he/she was able to have the MBs...

Probably so. I have a split stay between Pop then POFQ and I am able to make FP+ selections for the complete stay.

Just wondering if anyone else has a situation similar to ours. We are doing a split stay at the end of October (first BLT, then AKL Jambo). I just added the AKL stay to MDE today and noticed that I can now access the "customize magic bands" page, which had previously been grayed out when only the BLT reservation was registered. It appears that the AKL part of our vacation is in magic band territory but the first part, at BLT, is not.

Because of that, I'm a little afraid to add park tickets to our MDE account. Not sure if that will mess things up beyond repair, and not sure that I could even use FP+ for the BLT portion of our stay. It would be great to try out the FP+ reservation system for the duration of our trip but it seems a little risky.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

I have that with CSR and POR, our CSR dates are greyed out, POR I am able to access, but the tickets are with the CSR package. Both are linked on MDE, but only POR has the MB/FP+ options available. The POR which is just a room only reservation. CSR does not appear to be a test resort, so I am just not going to tinker too much other than make FP+ reservations for the MK day (when at POR) that we can, maybe look into things when we arrive at CSR or something. I'm not too concerned. It still allows us to pick parks for the days within the our POR test window.

Funny, I still have 2 ticket options showing up for cancelled packages from when we were looking into options with FD. They do not show up other than online (not on any other system we have been told), and we've actually been instructed to, and have called, IT - but the tickets are still on there... MDE is still a bit messed up.:faint:

I've noticed that many people are upset because their resort is not one in the testing phase. I agree with them - and have the same concerns. Especially in regards to the regular Fastpass system. Since the testers will be able to double-dip, they will get to do all their rides with no problem. However, the non-testers may OR may not get fastpasses for the rides they want because of the double dippers.

I'm staying at ASMusic, Oct. 19 - Oct 25, and I feel really cheated on numerous issues - harder time getting fastpases, may not have a refrigerator in the room, crowded food court due to the close of the other AS food court, etc. I paid for this vacation in March and I feel like I'm being cheated and not getting the vacation that I expected and paid for.

If it were not for the non-refundable airfare, I would just cancel this vacation and try to get my money back from Disney. :sad1:

I stepped offline for a day or two and catching back up I gotta say I'm dissappointed with all the people hating on Disney/DISer's becasue they are not able to participate in the "double-dipping". You guys have read all the problems too correct? Peoples bands not giving park access and taking hours to clear up, issues scanning to use DP credits, etc? Being a tester is taking the good and the bad. Allowing testers to double-dip is Disneys way of saying thanks for using a new system that is still not perfect and letting us know what you think. I will be testing in Oct and by agreeing to do so I know I am taking the good and the bad. Not just interested in getting a cool new bracelet and possibly getting to wait in line less.

Well stated!

Thank you. Not trying to flame anyone...just dissapointed I guess. We should be happy and celebrate for one another. :cool2:

IMHO a "bad" day basking in the magic of Disney is better than a good day at work! I am personally looking forward to whatever unfolds - with or without FP+!

I am at POR in Oct but I cannot use FP+ until my tickets arrive in the mail, hoppeefully in a couple of weeks. I am disappointed as the rest of our family (in another room) is able too book theirs. But you know what, I did just fine with the regular FP and I will again on this trip. I am just grateful to be going to WDW. I'll miss a few rides with DD but I will be able to do others with her. It's alll good. :sunny:

I called today to get a quote. I was thinking about possibly switching resorts due to the magic band testing. It was just too high and I couldn't rationalize giving away our free dining offer for a room only 20 percent off code.... Anyways... The CM asked me why I was considering changing and I said it was because I wanted a Magic band!!!!! Not that this has ANY weight whatsoever and I'm not counting on it by any means..... She said "we'll you never know what may happen the next couple weeks so don't give up hope yet" So...... I am still doubtful, BUT I haven't totally given up that maybe they will introduce even more resorts in the coming weeks. She also told me how much I would love Fort Wlderness and made me feel better about my decision staying there. I'm excited to go on my trip again..... Honestly I was getting to where I was staying away from the boards. It's tough seeing everyone getting to pick their bands, make fastpass + reservations.... It's like you're the only one who didn't win a contest! Happy for those who are able.... But still a bit jealous and holding out for a chance we will get them too. All but slim.

My parents have Undercover Tourist tickets that will not link for some reason. The CMs I spoke to both assured me that we will have no trouble using the "share" function on MDE to get them the same FP+ reservations that we have when they arrive. Assuming that's true, which I hope it is, you should be able to do the same.

I was able to customize my magic bands and book Fastpass + this week! We are staying at Art of Animation in October.

Thanks, Eliza's Mom. I will certainly try to do that! I had a very stressful night last night when I saw that my tickets "magically" disappeared from MDE but I guess that was just a glitch. I just told myself, this is a HOLIDAY and should be very stress-free. :rotfl: When I called WDW, they said that my tickets were still at Will Call. Whew!

Just got my first set of MB's delivered by UPS! Whoo Hoo!!! Yep, this makes me happy! :dance3:
